Some of the receivers - like the Avovs - don't show the number of channels - you have to count them.

The MAG boxes will show number of channels for each section - I think most of the newer IPTV receivers like the Buzz will also.

Number is 222 but includes some duplicates from different countries.

i guess it all depends on which channels specific you need, there are so many different languages

some have more than others

an indian friend said GOLD was the best for south asian

but maybe because the likes the channels there

Star, Gem, Gold, Xpress and even Crown. All have very good lineup of Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi channels.

I second that! StarTv and MyTV have a really broad South Asian content with at times multiple streams of the same channel as a backup.

I am using Express TV it has better picture quality and I think best for all tv channels and have almost all south Asian channels as well,
