Kodi Keeps Shutting Down

Installed Kodi 17.6 on a few different Android boxes that I have. Works great with no issues. I’ve installed No Limits, Titanium and few other builds on the same boxes. When starting up Kodi for the first time after the initial installation of these builds it works great with no issues. The problem is when I close Kodi out and shut the box down. When I try to use Kodi after I power the box back on, click on Kodi to start it, it will begin to startup then just shut down and go back to the main screen. The only way I could start Kodi again is by clearing the cache for the app. I’ve tried many builds and a few different Android boxes and the same thing every time. What am I missing or doing wrong?

set it to clear cache on startup
all the builds I use do that and no issues

most builds have it set to clear cache on statup
it's standard procedure since addons probably have updates
so your problem is user error...lol

Try this it might fix your problem.

Go to settings then select player. Scroll down, and in the Processing section you will see an option titled “Allow hardware acceleration – MediaCodec”. This would be on by default, so make sure you toggle it to the Off position.

Once is off reboot kodi and see if you still getting problems.

Ok I tried everything that was suggested to me for my original problem and all is good with my first issue of Kodi shutting down on startup. But now I get “ Kodi is not responding Close or Wait”. I just click wait and it goes away but why is this coming up now?
