View Full Version : Todays update.. Fixed apps crashing problem.

Looks like the new update may cause boxes to become unusable. Today I had three different boxes try to update then freeze. After that they wouldn't update again and would not stream IPTV.
Anyone else experiencing this... One of the boxes was a couple months old and two were brand new.

My Buzz box updated but has been freezing to the point it is not worth watching. I did a reboot on both the box and my WIFI.

mine updated and is working fine
Did it update unusually slow at all...
updated 3 today ,also no issues
Wonder if its my network.. I can't get them to restart the update.. Even using the manual update in settings.
My Buzz box updated but has been freezing to the point it is not worth watching. I did a reboot on both the box and my WIFI.
Maybe try resetting your network. Unplug and plug in your modem router..

I don't even know if my updated lol Update msg came i pressed hide. It did show up few times i keep pressing hide.
it should update at the back ground when i pressed hide. but never got any msg if it got completed.
which version should be if it got updated ?

when the update is finished a box will appear to ask for a reboot to install the update
yours hasnt finished or has stalled

Well I left the box on for a couple hours and it had done the update. When I looked it was at the reboot required. Box seemed stable after update on IpgUyz. This was a new Buz3K.

No problem on the ok2 server with the new update ,true took some time to update but no problems on my end.
No problem here ---- downloaded in +/- 5 minutes ----- rebooted and installed in under 5 minutes
All good , no issues or problem at all (OK2)

no freezing here but takes forever for some channels to come in

a reboot or two will fix the one on locked channel

Did the update last night, I click hide and continue watching March madness, took about 20mins and the screen pop up to reboot and finish the update. I didn't have to reset the server, everything working fine.

Have you rebooted your network?
Check channels 1 nbcsn 2 cbs sports or 43 the golf channel and tell me if those are working or not freezing

channels down would be a server issue
1 is up ,had one minor freeze

mine updated ,and now on ppv epg is way to slow and takes time to load info, and still freezes

I did press hide and box updated while i was watching tv. Good option to try ppl next time

If anyone is having issues updating and have already downloaded or attempted to download the new update but can’t install it first uncheck automatic update then go to your settings page then open the apps folder and under running apps look for an app called “update” force close and clear the data Then keep hitting the back button until your at the home page and reboot box and try to update again should upgrade within 5 mins just had to use this process on 3 different buzz boxes.

Maybe having the update turned off as a default setting in the next update, will stop server overload issues. A new buzz plugged in for the first time goes straight to update without an opportunity to turn it off.

I always keep automatic updates off mainly so I know I’m the one in front of the tv when any update is being preformed because most of my friends and family don’t know much about using technology or an android box besides the power button and working the live tv function not everyone knows what there doing when it comes to updates and I’ve had boxes bricked in the past because of it my buzz was my first android box I’ve spent more then $60 bucks on so I make sure I take care of it so that it will last I refuse to buy another cheap no name made in china box that’s garbage in 6 months lol. So far the buzz is my favourite box for iptv Beats paying for DIRECTV I’m saving a ton a month and no more trying to bring equipment to Canada and paying the conversion fees from cad to us.

Fortunately this recent update is now downloading like previous updates. Nice and quick.
Setup a few units yesterday.
