My mother passed earlier this week from a long illness.

My brothers and i bought a condo for her years ago so she could be comfortable in her retirement because a single mom trying to bring up four kids definitely makes it tough to save. We were able to keep her at home through many difficult times in the last few months but time ran out.

She did get to stay at her home almost to the end, and more than anything, that's what she wanted.

We can only hope there is a"another side", & you get to see her again.There's something VERY special about the love a mother & son have for each other:there's nothing else like it in life.

Thanks everyone for your condolences and warm wishes.

Its been a tough week and a half, but its been nice to find so many pictures and letters with family and friends that we had no idea even existed, and those are some of the things we can share with family...... present and future.

it was my dad's b-day the day you started this thread

surfinisfun very sorry to read on your mothers death.
Its a very hard death to deal with...i know all to well.
Gets better with time...but you never forget and will have some sad times every year especially holidays....or a object that reminds you of this or that.

I wish the best for you in your grieving stage.
