Hello all, does anyone know where or who can modify dishnetwork receiver box to work with IKS in Canada?

You will be greatly disappointed with the results, even if you do find someone. The remaining 3 iks services here work poorly at best with o.e. irds.Better off to use a less cw hungry stb.

and even if there is no problems with the servers, the receivers become a pain in the head

I had a 722 vip with dongle that cost $ 500 usd , I gave it away for $ 100 usd

Got really sick of it, too many errors

If I was going to spend that type of money I'D go for a hacked Rogers box

I know of a couple of people who can modify them. But I would take Noof's advice....he knows his stuff. As for me, I had to put my ird's on the shelf.....no avr....I miss them though....best way to test with the right server.

Over at the plumbers shed and saw a 622 on sw L829 not locked working very well. When landing on an unsupported ch it took a moment to change but the system didn’t puke and die as it did before.
Says the latest sw update Charlie did actually fixed the lockup freezing issues. Thankyou Charlie!

7-8 sec sweet spot.

Just sayn! Don’t recycle those ird yet!

Why not build one ? They are simple, just a few $ to make.

The schematics are on the web if not the dog walker has a friend who knows someone that might be able to help.

Good point. The last 2 irds I modded (211's) I built internal avr's using 8515 atmel.Worked fine. That was a number of years ago now..Can be done. The only thing to stop you is the instability & poor quality of the iks services. Not worth it anymore.A less cw hungry stb is a better choice for most folks.

I have two glockenspiel avr boards. My issue is flashing them. I accidentally stepped on my avr programmer....the part where the two prongs use a little jumper cable to connect to the programmer to the board to reflash.....everytime I try reflashing in jeepers, I got an error. If I could just build my own programmer, or find a way to reattach the two prongs to the programmer more securely.
