Ive always use OK2 with StbEmu in BlueStack. But all my media is from kodi, so i want to use Kodi for all of my media, include IPTV if possible.
Does ok2 is great in kodi? If Yes, what I need? My renew is for tomorow, so i need to choose.
Thanks alot! (sorry for my english)

johnnynothumbs, why are you staying away from kodi when many still do? Would you share more info? Will all of my children and siblings receive letters or anything like that?

On PC, I use progdvb - the portable install version. Make sure you install that version - very light weight. The picture quality you get blows any android or mag box out the door. Channel changes are super fast. The key to getting it to work well is cleaning and or repairing any broken directshow filters. Install codectweaktool to do this. With ok2, you will need a h265 decoder as well. You will have to set up your decoders in the progdvb settings. I have set it up on 2 HTPC so far, one an i7 with 16gb ram, and an old core2 quad with only 4 gb ram. the unit with 4 gm of ram works as well as the i7.
another program that works is nextpvr. you will have to set up your decoders with this program as well. nextpvr has a prettier interface, but progdvb works lightning fast with few bugs. I use an HP media center remote and keyboard for both programs.
Before you start clean up any broken filters and get your codecs set up. If not, you will be in for lots of headaches.

This method does not work with a mac, only a m3u list.

So, for my next month, i can try the M3U method, and with this i can be more "flexible" how I can listen Ok2 channel instead of MAC adress method, right? With M3U I can have more software to try like Kodi, VLC, progdvb, etc....
I'm right?
(on a side note, what website can you suggest me for ok2 subs?)

Another stable way to watch IPTV on Windows PC is using a portable program called ( ip-tv player version 49.1). It is very lightweight and has its own codec pack built in. I do not know if it does h.265 streams, but it works well with vaders h.264 streams. it has a built in pvr which can record multiple channels. I have not tried that feature. It is great for a laptop.

I did not see an h.265 decoder dll in that program. That will be a problem for ok2 and some other services, and will cause crashes.. I have only tried it with vaders, which is all h.264.

On your keyboard, Press the enter key in fullscreen mode, then press the left arrow key on your keyboard. all your groups will show up.
If you have a windows remote control, go to fullscreen mode, press the ok key, and toggle the left arrow. The groups will show up.

You can try nextpvr. You have to set up your decoders in the settings. You may have to muck around with the decoder settings to get it to work well. It has a nicer interface and you can use it as a backend for kodi.

Thanks for recommending ProgDVB. Been ages since I've used it. Back to when I had by old PCI DVB card ;)
I tried quickly to get the groups (with OK2), but after quickly setting up IPTV client with Playlist and EPG url, I get all channels listed (including VOD). I tried from full screen to hit enter (to get channel list) and then left arrow for groups, but the groups I got were "IPTV Client, Most Popular, and Favorites". I did not get the typical groups... Maybe I missed some checkbox in the settings.
I guess I can create a favorites list, and then just use that.. Not a huge deal.
Quick question, does ProgDVB offer the option to show the EPG as matrix style (ie: channels on left, and then showing programs bars to the right of each channel). I like that layout, since you can see what is comming up next, directly from EPG display, instead of being forced to highlight each channel to see what is next. Just curious...
I'll spend a little more time with it, when I get a chance. Would be great to re-purpose some small industrial small boxes I have. I was planning on installing androidx86 on them, but may just use win7embedded instead.
Thnx

I already know that... the problem is ALL the channel in in the list. When I load with ok2 apk, I right after access to the group IN ok2 itself. But in ProgDVB is all the 3000+ channel in the same group. I need manually find each channel I want and add to a group i've created.
So why ProgDVB cannot find the group already inside OK2?

I am using it only for Vaders, and all the groups come up perfectly. When I start, I get Vaders, most Popular and Recorded. When I click on Vaders, all the sub folders come up. I tried it with Eternal and it was a sloppy mess. I have not found a way to set up the EPG matrix style. Like DVBdream and smartdvb, visually it is not the most appealing, but functionally it works very well. Here are some of the shortcuts.
w=window
E=EPG
R=Record
T=Teletext
I=Info
O=Main Menu
P=PIP
L= Channel List
Z=Zoom
X=Shutdown
V=Aspect Ratio
M=Mute
F3= Recorded Shows

I guess it all depends on the provider .Like I said, the groups all come up with vaders, but with EternalTv, it is a total mess.

Keep in mind that your playlist url needs to be:
http://ok2.se:8000/get.php?username=XXXX&password=YYYY&type=m3u_plus&output=m3u8
If the "type" parameter is just "m3u", then there are no groups included in the returned m3u file.
That was my mistake above when I said no groups show up :)
On perfect player and progdvb, you get all the VOD, and in between you will see the LiveTV categories (English, French, Adult, etc..)
I suspect that the ok2 apk (which is based on older version of perfect player), does some internal hardcoded sorting to filter out the VOD and put it separately.. Perfect player (on android) has some nice new features/bug fixes, but the hardcoded category sorting in the ok2 apk, is still unmatched.
Would be nice if OK2 could offer 1 Playlist URL for liveTV, and a separate URL for VOD. This way, it would be easy to setup apps like perfect player, to flag VOD as VOD, and it would show up as a separate source.

It does not use a lot of resources, so it should work on low power boxes. Just make sure your broken filters are cleaned and your codecs/decoders are up to snuff, and away you go.

It is the video card. But the program is a portable installation, so it does not bog the system down.

For EPG, you can use the following:
http://ok2.se:8000/xmltv.php?username=xxx&password=xxx&type=m3u_plus&output=ts
I have no clue about Mac products.. Pretty anti-apple in my household, and I only use perfect player on a few native android boxes (primarily Mii Box 3 units). NOX is an emulator from what I gather. Any emulator will be a lot slower typically than any native box.
From what I hear, on Mac, many have use GSE player. I have never tried it myself, so just going by what I had heard.

EPG:

From what I found on another site from quick google search:
Open the menu and choose Remote Playlist
Click the add playlist "+" icon
Choose Add M3U URL and paste your M3U URL (as listed above, replacing with your username/password)
I'm assuming it is something similar for EPG.

For the benefit of users of OK2 service, since they have their information with Xtream codes, it sets everything up goes like this: Yes do the remote playlist and epg as suggested by Emporium.
Name of service: OK2
Link to service: hxxp://ok2.se:8000
Login:
Password:
(remember OK2 names and passwords are case sensitive)
Once you use the Xtream setup the setup changes itself accordingly and becomes seamless.

Hi guys,
I run the ok2 apk app fine on my android box, however, I was interested in trying it with perfect player. The suggestions your help as I use the link format given. However specifically I have The following problems:
1) getting the EPG to load
2) when I go back up and down with my remote channel seemed to suddenly stop working and kick me back to the guide, and every single time I start perfect player it takes a long time
3) it seems to re-download everything whereas none of these issues occur with the APK app. I'm using the latest version of perfect player, are there extra settings that I should just adjust for perfect player to make ok2 work better

For perfect player you should be able to be good if you use the following:
Playlist:
http://ok2.se:8000/get.php?username=XXXX&password=YYYY&type=m3u_plus&output=m3u8
EPG:
http://ok2.se:8000/xmltv.php?username=XXXX&password=YYYY&type=m3u_plus&output=ts
I noticed the bump to EPG as if channel is not working also on the latest version only. However I typically go to EPG and switch channels from there, so it is not a huge issue for me, however it still happens from time to time. Probably delay before start of stream is a little long and it timesout and assumes channel is offline.
Now for it taking long upon startup, YES it is longer. But for EPG, you can decide how often it downloads the EPG. When you enter the EPG URL, you have I think 4 options...
- Update EPG when current date is empty of EPG events
- Update once a day
- Update at every update
- last one I don't remember but I know it is there....
Everything is a balancing act.
