I lost my WIFI capabilities on my MAG 254. My box still works great when using cat 5 on hard wire. Have tried rebooting both the 254 and my WIFI router but nothing seems to make it work. Have tried redoing the update but did not work. I have an other one it works great. Any help would be appreciated.

Someone I know was using a Mag254 with Wi-Fi adapter. There was a power surge at his place and after that, the Mag would not recognize the adapter. Would say Wi-Fi not enabled. Told him to reinstall the latest firmware and the Wi-Fi adpter worked.
Don't know if you are using the built in Wi-Fi or an adapter. Either way, it is worth a shot.

Are you trying to get the wifi to work again with ethernet cable connected?First time wifi setup ethernet has to be connected and network ip's populated.

I have no problem connecting through the Ethernet cable. It will not connect through the WIFI for what ever reason. It did work for some time but stopped.

Thanks everyone for the help. I finally found out what the problem was. Both of the WIFI extends were not working. Tried a new one I had put away and away it went. Once again thanks everyone

Yep agree with that. No reason for it to be closed.

As I said in thread #7 I finally narrowed the problem down to both my WIFI extenders not working properly. Installed a new USB extender and it popped right on.

Think there was a post deleted where someone asked how he resolved the issue but obviously the op didn't quote the question.
