Sound issues on xpl3000

I live in the uk and have just received a xpl3000 today from Canada. I set it up no problem with 2 common iptv providers and got a great picture but no sound. I went into droid settings and change some settings, rebooted and I got sound. however I went out for a while, put it in Standby and when I put it back on, again no sound until I did a reboot, this happens everytime I put in standby. However I was watching a uk channel with no problem, I switched to usa ID and the tv changed resolution the sound played for 3-5 seconds then no sound, when I went back to uk channels still no sound until I reboot, fine again in uk channels, but lose after 3-5 seconds in usa channels. I also have a z7+ which as none of these issues. is it a bug, a wrong setting, a certain codec needed or a faulty box? any help would be appreciated as I really like the interface on this box.

Just wondering in the menu which player is it set to ? try changing your player and see what happens

Thanks for the reply, I have changed player and it is still the same. I did think is it a compatibility issue with a uk tv, but I have read of others in the uk with this box with no issues and my z7+ is used all over the world with no issues.

which firmware your on ? can you check
also are u testing z7+ box on same server ?


I dont have any problem on any channels uk or usa , working perfect always

let me rephrase myself I get sound but after a couple seconds I get the boot from the channel.
I have directv now it worked great for a few months and now after the new fix it started this crap.

boot from the channel i don't think u got the same problem why dont you make your own thread.

but we do kinda have the same issue he gets booted from sound and i get booted from the channel or server what ever it is..

I don't get the sound issue but maybe the server you are using uses a codec that isn't compatible. Try installing STB Emulator and let us know if the sound issue is rectified

Thanks for all the replies, I have tried another TV, different make to see if the sound issue was with that. It was the same. I didn’t have time to install and set up a stb emu, but I installed the providers app and that had the same issue. basically there are 3 settings in Droid settings for sound I can choose any one and reboot, I have sound, I come out of the buzz tv app (or provider app) go back in, no sound, I go back to settings, choose any of the 2 unselected, reboot and I have sound again, until I come out or go on standby etc etc. sometimes the sound comes on for 5 seconds or so then goes off. Another issue I have found it I cannot use a usb dongle little keyboard, I have a few and none of them will connect, however they connect and work on my numerous boxes Nvidia Shield and Formuler Z7+ no problem. I am starting to wonder if it is a faulty box?
Is there any one else on here from the uk with this box? that would rule out mu other theory of a north American/Canadian not been compatible in the UK, I think on the Formuler forum reading there is a European and North American box, but not sure.
