View Full Version : Dreamlink HD diode identification D1 zener diode.
My friend has Dreamlink HD with the input diode D1 blown (shorted), it's a zener diode. It's hared to see but I think it's marked 929B and google is not coming up with reliable results.
Does anyone know the value of the D1 zener diode? It's on the PCB right near the power jack.

15V ? And no resistor shorted with the diode? I'd check related circuitry like capacitors for voltage rating and I gotta say if a zener shorted most likely some other component probably took a dive too

Agreed:there's very likely damage to the "break down" resistor & the circuit topology it protects.

Zener diode on a input to the power circuit????, Might not be a zener, most zener's are after most power regulators.
If it is a 929B zener then look here.

You have a big choice to look through....It should be a 1N5929B as the part type.
