View Full Version : Channels freezing - occasionally/random times

Just picked up the BuzzTV XPL 3000 (sport edition) and running into occasional channel freezing. Firstly I am a new to IPTV and this is my first box so I really don't have anything to compare it to. Occasionally when watching, the channel will freeze and will not come back on. I have to change the channel and then go back and it works again. Also, occasional buffering/'Stream not available' messages/sound lag but I am assuming this may be dependent on the provider?

Other things I've noticed with this box (again, I'm new so I'm not sure if it's normal): the box runs very warm to the touch, the recording function is finicky (ie. when i record something, the live view then becomes choppy), since owning the box (1 week) i've had the whole unit completely freeze on me and so I'd had to unplug it, on the home screen when i select an app at the bottom it opens another app, the other day the channel changed by itself.

I just want to make sure I didn't receive a defective box (i have 30 days left to return it). Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You may want to post all your settings like wired/wireless, internet speed, 6.0 or 7.1, etc. Will be easier to help that way.

I can confirm that the channel freezing occurs to me too. It says "stream is not available". Sometimes a channel is running fine and just begins to buffer. My internet is not the issue here as I have a 75 Mbps (I'll be upgrading to 150 Mbps soon) connection hardwired via ethernet to the box.

Yet another issue that occurs is that sometimes the next channel in the list plays even when I chose the one before it. The channel name is of the channel I chose but the stream is of the next channel. Oh, and after the last update, the EPG has been completely killed. There is no EPG whatsoever so there's no information about what's playing and what's next. This may be an issue relating to the server though, so I'm not too sure here. Anyone else have weird EPG issues? I'm using Titan TV.

I tried the usual troubleshooting tips, restarting the box, clearing app data and cache on buzz tv, uninstalling updates, etc.
I'm running the latest version of the BuzzTV app and firmware, running Android 7.1.2. Any insight or suggestion into this would be much appreciated! :)

I have the same problem, when I try and change the channel I frequently get "STREAM IS NOT AVAILABLE< PLEASE TRY AGAIN"
This started on the last update June 14. On another thread others have the same problem. One post says that Buzz will push a fix in the next day or two.

This has nothing to do with the Ops issue

The other day the channel changed by itself. ............. I had the same problem and it is cause by other remotes for other devices ,
affecting the box . Very annoying , I had to re-locate either this box or the other devices .

that usually happens batteries are dying in a remote. remove the batteries from all remotes except the buzz one...

when watching tv, press menu/configuration/player, then choose internal.... let us know how it goes....
