Planning to buy a good device to replace my current Android Nexbox.

Can Buzz XPL 3000 do all of these?

1)Ability to schedule future recordings with or without EPG (just based on time). If i schedule a recording say for the next day from 12 noon to 1 PM, will the box "wake up" and do the recording? I will not be home that time.
2)Both Mac based and M3U providers
3)Take external storage as internal (say 64 GB USB flash drive)

Thanks

1) Yes, but only somewhat reliably IME. If there is a software update or the buzz app randomly crashes, you are SOL.
2) The Buzz software is MAC based. There all all kinds of ways to use M3U with this box, but not the proprietary app, and I suspect importantly to you, not with the proprietary PVR.
3) Yep.

Thanks. I have 2 providers. One is Mac exclusive and the other has a APK/M3U/MAC. So can use mac for the second one too.

I have to mention that in my case the PVR function is not working. I tried to do it manually and also automatically (by pressing the red button on the remote) and in most of the cases the recording started but it never was able to complete the set-up time I used for the recordings. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me they would fix that with a new update. I am still waiting.

i think you mean the buzz group and not the manufacturer
its not an issue with everybody
You dont post much info either OS ,model, usb type etc

I think it is the manufacturer. Here is the link to clarify any confusion:

http://buzztv.com
The model is the BUZZ 3000 XPL and the operating system is the standard (I believe) the device comes with (-Android 7.1 NOUGAT OS).

I have used both internal storage and also an external USB pen drive (16 Gb).

I hope it clarifies the info.

I can give you a temporal "fix" if the problem you have with PVR is similar to mine (it stops before the set up time), which is not 100% sure but can help in extreme cases. My main interest of the PVR function is to be able to watch sports events delayed. I like soccer, so what I did today was to set up the manual recording every 15' in 6 subsequent sequences. In my case the probability that the recording stops in less than 15' is low. Is not 100% sure, but is better than nothing.

Will you tomorrow if you are able to see 6 recordings of 15 minutes each?

I suppose I could do that, thanks. I find the software sometimes crashes when I multitask (ie. switch from live tv to VOD or Kodi) or during longer recordings. Someone in this thread mentioned it happening during the recording of football matches, which is where I was experiencing it too, so it sounds like it could be related to recording length.

This is a continuation of my PVR saga.
I tested several times the PVR function using manual and scheduled recording and the result has been always the same: either
the recording stops before the final set-up time, usually within 22' of the starting time, or it does not start at all. I am very frustrated because I have followed all the recommendations the manufacturer gave me during several messages exchanged regarding this issue and the problem is still there. They even provided me with a new version of the BUZZTV app. (135 -40) to address the issue I reported to them. I installed a class 10 micro SD card. I formatted it in a Windows PC using NTFS formatting, following their recommendation, and I also used the default player as they recommended. The SD card was recognized by the device. In addition to the above, I have searched for new updates of the OS and I believe i have the latest (I bought the device a couple of weeks ago and it installed all the updates during the initial set up). During our exchange they informed me that with a similar set up they had been able to successfully record several programs. I have no doubt of that. Logic tells me that if with similar set-ups they and I get different results, then the problem must lie somewhere else. The only thing I can think of is a problem with the device itself. I contacted them a couple of days ago mentioning all this and asking them for any suggestion but I have not heard back from them.
