Knowing buzz, they don't like updating older models. I've ordered over 100 buzz boxes alone from supplier and this threw me off. Buzz confirmed it legit so I am good. Costing me $5 more per piece, so same price as carbon fibre red model.

They don't?? What do you think those 100 you ordered are? If you know buzz like you said, you should relay truthful information about them.

They won't update firmware on older boxes. I've asked if could get new firmware for 6.0 boxes and they said no. Just saying what they tell me. They told me upgrade to new model. 2018 model is new and firmware will get pushed if they release it, so you are right on that (tornado is fine). People with older one are out of luck. More than half of ones I sold can't check for updates anymore, only 2018 model now.

After they came out with the same box with updated android on them I knew they wouldn't put that update on there site for 6.0 boxes.

Didn't think the buzz people would act like the dreamlink guy in korea.
Like I say the box game is just a money grab.

Of course they said no when you asked for firmware.You think they are going to give it to you.
I have had an android 6 updated to 7.1 That is not the issue The issue is updating ota.
As far as updates on the OS 6 you are dead wrong on not getting anymore updates

They were right to tell you that you cannot get the firmware because it doesn't work like that. You cannot expect them to give you firmware and not the other guy down the street or the man next door, doesn't work that way, firmware is released to all devices at once.

Furthermore, the 2000 version is 6.0 but is not capable of handling Android 7.12 so obviously this unit will not be upgraded. Just be patient until it is released for the 3000 version devices.

Don't see how they lied to you since they never gave an exact date as to when it would be released. These things take time, sure new units manufactured would have the new firmware but it doesn't mean the existing ones are left out. The buzz team are very cooperative and supportive but they need to be able to do their work, just be patient.

Whatever happened with dreamlink cannot be compared with the numerous updates released by the buzz team. And just because you cannot receive one single as yet, does not mean you have been lied to neither cannot it be used to discredit the buzz. You are being unreasonable.

The only post I saw someone selling buzz units was yours. I am yet to understand why you are crying so much about this upgrade. If you were to get it tomorrow what next will you cry about.

Every single query buzz owners have had, has been looked into by the buzz team and they release an update to fix them. They listen so stop crying and go drink your milk

I don't understand why he doesn't get this point. I would worry more about the buzz app and that has been well looked after by the team. It seems he just wants an orgasm via Android 7 on the buzz.

If the botch job that Xiaomi did with the Mii box is what you want, then I'll pass. I just ordered an XPL 3000 myself (should be getting it tomorrow), because xiaomi destroyed both by Mii box with the ATV 6.0 to 8.0 update. Oreo at this point on this box, is just not a daily driver candidate. It works barely "ok". but on many occasions it gets sluggish, and requires a reboot. The big list is huge, and they went back into beta, after they pushed it to 1000's of customers.

I'd take a stable 6.x any day over 7.x or 8.x with instabilities. There is no software out there that I know that "insists" on anything higher than 6.0 anyhow yet. Once you are in your IPTV app and streaming, who really cares what the OS behind the scenes is, as long as it is stable and doesn't cause your app to misbehave.

I completely agree with you... I still have some old Kobo Arc tablets, running on jellybean (4.1.1), and I use them as floating streamers...
Ideally 4.2.1 is where I draw the line, since they changed a few major APIs there. But anything after 4.2.1 is typically fine.

Android 5.x and above can run just about every app. I know the latest versions of ttv, ok2 apk, and perfect player are working fine even on the old 4.1.1 tablet.

Looking at market I see 4 different buzz xpl3000 with 2gb ram. Not including that basic or panda they calling it running on s905x and 1gb ram
First I see 1st Gen 3000xpl some posting buzz fb page it won’t update to 7.1 others say it runs better on 6.
Second is 2018 version with 7 on it. This and first gen both have a53 cortex with 2gb ram
3rd there’s this one starting of thread look different than last 2 seems like no external antenna, no rca and addition of Dolby licence and new case no idea if it’s same arm cortex a53 in it or something else
4th today I saw one on online think amazon Called xpl3000e seems like Reflashed MyGica 1900 pro
For someone buying buzz what’s best one to get running best ? Support wise? Can OS be downgraded if it runs like crap on 7.1 compared to os6

i had the first xpl 3000 with the android 6

i just got the 2018 with the 7.1 i feel its a bit faster, looks the same as the old one it has the antenna as well.


at the end of the day i have tried other boxes but am very glad to come back to the 3000 the other androids to me seam to run iptv but the box itself is not really fully set up
i find all the buttons work on the buzz remote for the soft ware and is one of the easiest ones to use and switch between services.

had a smartview and a xtream z but they were bit slower the smart view was android 5 and 1 gig ram and froze up a lot had to unplug and reboot often, the extream z most of the buttons didnt work it was a 2 gig but still a bit laggy.

as well when the picture aspect ratio is out i have to use the tv remote to fix it but with the buzz it does it all in itself letting you make those changes

at the end of the day the 2018 buzz xpl 3000 is everything you want out of a box at this period of time for my needs. don't see the point in a basic box with less ram.

First said no update from 6 to 7. That was me repeating what was said about 1st Gen 3000 by dishuser because others said there 1st gens did update others said as dishuser said they didn’t update. Confirmed by dishuser there is no update to 7 on first Gen xpl3000.
Then asked does it run any better on 7. Meaning the 2018 version as it’s on 7 does it run any better on 7 thank 1rst Gen 3000 on 6.
Downgrade available meaning if it’s on 7 like 2018 or if the 1st Gen ever does get 7 and don’t run well on 7.
Hopefully this makes more sense

I think he ment there will be more 2018 xpl3000 models soon stay away from the 3000m. When typed 3000’s meaning it in the plural not as a new 3000s model.

Totally get whet u saying dishuser If it ain’t broke why fix. I usually always hold out on OS updates unless it’s needed and don’t break something else. At this moment all the buzz boxes 2018 and 3000m we can get are on 7 that’s why I was asking if they can be downgraded cause many say buzz runs better on 6 and one user posted earlier in this thread it ran quicker on 7. Or if I should be hunting for older one 1st Gen on 6.

New android isn't always better as we all seen on these boxes.

Downside is that some apps want the newer versions of android to run correctly or wont install on older versions.

Thankfully both 6 and 7 aren't that old yet.
