My T5 remote no longer works with the T5 box....the sat button stays (illuminated) but the commands are not received .
Has anyone had this problem ?
Just wondering if the remote is junk, or if the box itself needs to be fixed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Take it apart and give it a cleaning
Sounds like the button is stuck

check the Battery's as well as what nobodyspecial said a good cleaning

Sounds like the button is stuck

It happened to me awhile ago, one of the buttons was stuck causing the red sat light to stay on. Cleaned the remote and all is good.

Specifics would help others. IE: Did you take the remote apart and clean it, if so with what ?

Or did you clean from outside, if so with what ?

I just used a little hot soapy water and a toothbrush on the buttons. (probably got water inside but it still works ok)

Some of the buttons were getting a bit gunked up from sticky fingers and would stick down when pressed.
