Hi, I recently purchased a buzz xpl 3000 2018 edition and got it set up fairly easily. There was a pretty big update as soon as i booted it up the first time. And after that there was a small update on the buzz tv2 app.

The first issue I encountered was regarding the epg, it did not match up with the stream playing, but that was fixed by using the epg time shift to -8 hours. However there are times when the epg bugs out and shows one thing then i move the channel up and down and the epg will show something else entirely.

The second issue was regarding the video players. The default player and the old default player produced mini stuttering every few seconds. The internal player has audio and video out of sync. The secondary player seems to work the best for me.

The third issue is the with the buzz tv2 app freezing, and this happens when one stream fails to load. The epg then freezes on that channel, none of the channel streams work after that. I can still scroll through the app but nothing works. If i exit and re open the app i fail to connect to my providers portal. I get an error saying 'cannot get response from server'. I have tried hard resetting the box multiple times, cleaning cache and everything, still doesnt connect. It connects back after like 5-10 minutes downtime, or by uninstalling updates on buzz tv2 or factory reset. The 'cannot get response from server' also tends to occur after i turn on the box after a long time. But with this one a hard reset seems to fix it.

I have tried using the factory version of buzz tv 2 which is 1.6 (117) but I get the same issues. I have also tried changing my resolution from 4k to 1080 to 720 but the stuttering is still there. Prior to the box i was using perfect player and STBEmu on my Sony Android TV and they worked fine so I know the issue regarding the stuttering or epg is not provider related.

I would also like to mention that when I do connect and watch a stream without changing a lot of channels or just browsing through the app, the stream works fine. I watched the 3rd place play off and the final of the world cup without issues once i connected to the stream. The problem regarding the epg and buzz tv2 app occur while browsing through the app itself

The OS on my box is 7.1.2
Build: V002S901_20180525
Kernal: 3.14.29
Buzz tv2: 1.6 (117) and (135) tried both
Hard wired connection

I would like to know if these are problems that have occurred with other users and if they can be fixed with updates. Otherwise I would have to send the box back and get something else.

my info is identical except mine is os6 with none of your issues
Have you considered a factory set and starting from scratch?
Download may have been corrupted?

I did do a factory reset, but after that it didnt download the update again. Seems to still be the latest version. I also tried the reset button that is on the bottom side of the box but thats just like a power button so it was no help. Is it possible to downgrade my firmware to os 6?

The most recent update for the buzztv ap is 1.6 (140) I suggest you to get in touch with the manufacturer and ask them. Just google getbuzzed. The issue with the EPG should be dealt by your reseller. The EPG works most of the time but it has its issues.

Regards.

Keep in mind that no epg is going to be correct all the time since they are dependent on the providers channel info.

Sadly this isn't always correct and if there channels say like tsn 1 tsn 2 and so on they often jumble up the info.
Since the epg grabs its info from them its going to be wrong when they get it wrong.

The epg isn't without its own issues though as it can have problems with certain times zones although this is easily worked around in the settings.
