Hello all, getting some fiber optic and need a new Router modem any suggestions on what to get at a decent price?
guess it has to be daul band.. not sure.
any help much appreciated!

Your Fiber Optic supplier will give you the modem, the router can be your choice, how much range do you need???

Look at the ""Amped Wireless"" line of routers, I think they are top of the line and have some very high power outputs.

Yeah they will charge me for a modem.. <br />
Thats why i would rather just buy my own. <br />
And yes they have them but its like 200 to buy from them or you have to rent it. <br />

the phone company uses ZyXEL Dual band wireless router for 160 plus a 35 program fee.
I think I can set it up my self and save the 35
Amped wireless looks like a decent box... good reviews

Most newer router's are out of the box drop in and go, no need to set them up unless you want to customize them for higher security then out of the box settings for the WIFI, change the standard WIFI channel to something else, or need to change the IP address settings for some reason.
