No Response when I open any window..

I have a friends laptop , it's a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4427, running Vista, whenever I try and open any window it freezes up...it won't let me connect wireless or wired to internet, I am trying to put an anti virus program via usb drive, but once I open the drive , and select application , it freezes up again...I have to restart the laptop each time to get it to respond at all again...

did you try starting it in safe mode and then installing the antivirus?

I certainly think that it's a virus of some type, having problems installing the ant-virus program, it's going, but it's taking it's sweet time installing...I will let you know...Thanks again...I hope that this fixes it for them, but we'll see...

Sounds like a ram issue to me.Because of the slow loading time it points to defective ram. Good luck...hope you get it going!!
