Xpl3000 tried for week

With all the buzz around the buzz3000 I gave it a shot. It’s a 2gb xpl3000 buzz 2018 edition.
Set it up was easy enough.
Guide was a nice look and options easy to get to.

Basically a android box with its own Iptv app . Livetv has search function lets u find channels. The guide interface looks really slick nice lots info and vod sections show episodes as list. Got a nice looking epg grid also. Those seem to be the things that set it apart from mag/stbemu.
I guess it’s a good box to get if u don’t already got a android box And gonna do Iptv.

I already got android boxes and after a Few days using I’m struggling to like it over stbemu or mag.
First thing is if u got Mac u using on multiple different mag or stbemu boxes it will lock to buzz I’m assuming buzz must send device Id cause I tried cloning serial number too but no go, not able to go back to another mag/stbemu.

Next it’s kinda slow not as responsive as mag/stbemu and channel list and info must loadad on every start and lil lag every time u change channel wait for channel info to display correct. I have used the cleanup brush option and also clean cache in settings for buzz app that didn’t help . And as for loading on start for livetv when u switch to videoclub/vod same thing it loads and authenticates. If u want radio section I didn’t see it on buzz.
Also remote u gotta have pointed at box not huge issue but thought I’d mention it.

If u select favorite channels when u go to view them u can only sort them via number or by name. No way to move channels around manually and group them like u can in stbem/mag. Makes for a messy list on buzz.

If u go to timeshift it works but seeks ff rew really slow. And when u kick outta timeshift it kicks u back to livetv not list of day u where last looking at so u gotta go back that day all over again.
Also with timeshift it’s not clear like on mag/stbemu how far back rec goes. Red lil rec icon on mag/stbemu

So far that’s everything I can remember last few days of testing it. I understand they update fw now and then maybe they can take these issues into consideration.

In regards to the MAC lock to a buzz, I can confirm at least for me, using OK3, there is no lock. I have my sub using MAC, and I have it on my BUZZ box in my living room, and I have given the SAME MAC on one of the profiiles on STBEMU on my mii box in my bedroom and it works fine (obviously only one at a time active). One thing I did notice on STBEmu in this case, is that I had to select very specific STB to emulate. Trying to emulate an Aura STB or the higher model MAG units, it would tell me that it was blocked. Changing back to something like the MAG254 it works fine. Strange, but not complaining. Don't really see a huge difference between different emulations anyhow.

For me the one big thing I like on the BUZZ, is the EPG layout. I really don't like the simple view (also available on the buzz). It is annoying to have to select the the channel, to see it's EPG. I like the full EPG matrix style layout. Yes it can be slow, but I use the pageup/pagedn button, to switch one pagefull at a time, and I find it acceptable. IT does not cache/preload the EPG, which is why it is always up to date, but downside is that it takes time to load it at every page full. EPG is very similar to that available on "Perfect Player", but lately with Perfect player, it can take up to 5 minutes to just load the M3U playlist/XML epg. On Perfect player, this delay is due to the lack of parsing the panel_api file to determine which categories are liveTV vs VOD. So the more and more gets added to VOD section, the loading time is getting ridiculous.

I find the BUZZ (2018 version at least) does have some memory leak in it's network stack, that if you just put it to sleep everytime (power button), then eventually the network (even hardwired) gets really slow. Changed behaviour of power button to actually power unit off every time, which adds about 30 seconds to power up sequence, but at least I have yet to see the network issue since then.

There are a few bugs that buzz is aware about (like favorites on VOD which don't work), and may others. It is on thier ToDo list apparently. Let's see when they push the next update. I'd rather wait and have something clean, than have a half-@ss update like Mii did on their Oreo updates on the Mii Box 3 units. They finally released another major patch a few days ago.

Please, do not mislead folks on this site or potential owners of the buzz unit. What you should do, instead of writing what you think you remember, you should write on the issues you have as you go through the unit because your memory is defeating you.

If you are in favorites, English or sports category using simple view you will not be able to see which category you are in because you are in simple view. If you are in detailed view you will be able to see. Also, while in simple view in order to choose a category you have to hit left arrow on the remote. You either choose simple or detail, it is as simple as that. The buzz configuration option gives you that privilege!!

If you are in preview window and you browse other channels, there is an indication telling you which channel you are watching. Because, the channel name and number is listed inside the preview itself at the bottom. If you cannot see it I suggest you book an appointment to the eye doctor, seriously!

The adult section in livetv does have a password default set and it is 0000 as you think it was. Yes you can still see channel names and so forth but that will be taken care of very soon.

So please, if you don't know or can't remember, it is best to stay away from the keyboard.

I'm not sure what speed or simplicity issues you are having but you did mention the buzz having to authenticate upon loading. If you notice, STBemu has to load its portal upon opening.....that too, is authentication and the buzz has the detailed EPG which appears just like the STBemu setup but with the bonus of having a grid EPG as well


Yea in simple view u can’t see catigory I know u can see in detailed view that’s why I wrote about simple view. Hopefully they can add that somewhere on screen. That's why you have the option to choose simplified or detailed, which STBemu doesn't have. And in simplified all it takes is the click of the left arrow too see or change category. On the other hand, with STBemu you have to leave livetv and go back to main menu to see or change category......But with the Buzz units you are afforded the speed and simplicity you and along with others crave for

I did not post false information. I posted my experience with buzz and listed the things that that I hoped get fixed as those issues are reason I didn’t keep using the box. Maybe I should have listed more things that are good about the box but forum is filled with those that’s why I bought it.
I reread last paragraph. if you referring to the word “remember” that was me trying to recall anything I may have left out. I have read buzz section and many the issues where not mentioned that’s why I posted.
As for speed like I said in original post it lags lil bit on chan changes not much but is there and same for the channel info under preview screen takes a a second. It’s not major but it’s there.as for the authentication it does first time u go to livetv just like stbemu yes but u go to vod and it does it again. Also no radio feature. As for simple view would be nice to know what catigory u are in on screen without having to have detailed view is all I asked . Also forgot to add that if u are watching in favorites catigory sometimes if u do catchup and kick back to livetv go back to catigory it will revert back to whatever catigory that channel belongs to like English or sports ect..
as for the epg grid guide it’s nice feature but too much going on in there for me others may love it but I found it easier to navigate without it that’s why I didn’t really post much about It I didn’t want someone who loves grid epg to crap on post because I didn’t like it. I said it was nice looking which it is that’s where I left it. For me nothing to fix there. I’m not trying to upset or anger people I was just trying to help and provide my experience with the buzz. I’m sure most of not all these issues can be corrected.
The biggest issue for me and few others would be not having ability to edit order of favorites move channels around manually. I know u can sort by channel name or number. But being able to sort them move channels around . If it had that I’d still use it and live with rest of the issues I listed and wait for them to get fixed but as it is now channels are mixed up in order in favorites as that’s where it will sit 90% of the time

Channel change timing depends a whole lot on the iptv service you are using. I know this because I currently use a South American service where channel change is literally a split second, like instant. I have not used any server as fast as it as yet.

I see your point regarding reauthentication of VOD which should be looked into and having no radio section. I believe if the server have radio channels it will show up but I could be wrong about that.

Catchup and categories is worth looking into as well and once you mention it you can guarantee it will happen. Epg is user preference as well but nothing beats grid view.

The ability to organize channels as you wish is a good option, and the fact that buzz releases updates frequently I am sure that is one of the requests that might be answered.

So go take back your buzz from that friend and enjoy it.

I’m not finding what I posted was false or wrong? Exept the channel info in the preview window which with my bad eyes I didn’t notice I kept looking at channel list for a play icon like on stbemu. If that channel number info is on that preview window I think that’s great. I don’t want anyone thinking I’m posting false info.

As for speed, that was comparing same servers on stbemu mag and buzz. It wasn’t speed of tuning channel it was the actual movement of the cursor before u get to the channel u want and also the little lag it takes for info to display like what’s playing and times under the preview window. It will show last channels info it was on for a second not a huge issue but the lag in selecting channels going up down in list and sideways to do catchup. Is noticeable if you used to stbemu or mag which seems snappier. Also it always kicking to livetv when u exit catchup and not list of shows on same date. U gotta go back to select date and time if it’s a show right after it’s one u just watched. Don’t show how far back rec go no icon showin that. Also ff and rewind on catchup is slow but I read it’s better now than it used to be many months ago.
I got list of issues I got with stbemu too nothing is perfect I understand that.

I’ll prob grab buzz back when that fav issue gets resolved but I may not be able to pry it outta his hands by then.

people only use the mouse when searching threw the vods and for that use a wireless keyboard

The reality is that most can not be objective about a box.

There are issues and complaints about every box. One has to use the one that best suits their needs.

Don't think it's perfect but it's pretty close. If no one could say negative things about the buzz, those particular posts would be deleted instantly.

It's a great iptv unit and we appreciate it

The Simple rule is not box is every going to be perfect and you use what best suits your needs.

Buzz tv does many thing quite well and there is of course a few bugs that need addressing but they do listen which is more then many do.

I understand there’s a log of what’s fixed but for stuff that’s ongoing issues if there was a list of issues still ongoing people could refer to that and add to it as new issues are found. It was just a suggestion. I’m just trying to help make this buzz a better product cause most the issues I posted about I didn’t see posted about here.

It’s only first time u go to vod after its already authenticated for livetv. After that it’s fine. Confirmed by others also on other providers. It’s def a way the buzz works seems vod and livetv May be 2 different apps.

that was the first time I went to vod in over a month so once again it's not a buzz issue cause vod loaded instantly

Odd cause the 3 providers it was tested on did same thing select live tv it does handshake/auth then later if u go to vod does same thing auth/handshake after that it’s fine no longer needs authorize until u reboot/restart system or exit buzz app. It very well could be server side on all those portals if it’s not doing for you guys. Stbemu must auth both on startup that’s why I never experience that using it. Maybe buzz could implement same thing

Box doesn't work with Samsung 4k Tv's with built in One Connect ....... i tried it on another two Samsung 4k Tv's with out it ..... works fine ........


Buzz Box does require HDMI ....... so if your using a old CRT Tv you can still use this box ....... Just get the adapter below ......

Nobody I’m not sure why u think we got off on wrong foot I was replying earlier to maestro who thought I was posting false info??? Like I’ve said here I’m not making things up in my review not sure why this is getting warped. Bsing??? What did I bs about in my review I just posted issues I came across I’m sure you can replicate them. As for stbemu it’s a app u can sideload. With all the buzz around the buzz3000 I gave it a shot. It’s a 2gb xpl3000 buzz 2018 edition.
Set it up was easy enough.
Guide was a nice look and options easy to get to.

Basically a android box with its own Iptv app . Livetv has search function lets u find channels. The guide interface looks really slick nice lots info and vod sections show episodes as list. Got a nice looking epg grid also. Those seem to be the things that set it apart from mag/stbemu.
I guess it’s a good box to get if u don’t already got a android box And gonna do Iptv.

I already got android boxes and after a Few days using I’m struggling to like it over stbemu or mag.
First thing is if u got Mac u using on multiple different mag or stbemu boxes it will lock to buzz I’m assuming buzz must send device Id cause I tried cloning serial number too but no go, not able to go back to another mag/stbemu.

Next it’s kinda slow not as responsive as mag/stbemu and channel list and info must loadad on every start and lil lag every time u change channel wait for channel info to display correct. I have used the cleanup brush option and also clean cache in settings for buzz app that didn’t help . And as for loading on start for livetv when u switch to videoclub/vod same thing it loads and authenticates. If u want radio section I didn’t see it on buzz.
Also remote u gotta have pointed at box not huge issue but thought I’d mention it.

If u select favorite channels when u go to view them u can only sort them via number or by name. No way to move channels around manually and group them like u can in stbem/mag. Makes for a messy list on buzz.

If u go to timeshift it works but seeks ff rew really slow. And when u kick outta timeshift it kicks u back to livetv not list of day u where last looking at so u gotta go back that day all over again.
Also with timeshift it’s not clear like on mag/stbemu how far back rec goes. Red lil rec icon on mag/stbemu

In simple view When u are looking at catigory livetv like English or favorites or sports ect and viewing channels there’s no indication on screen telling u what category you are in.
Also when u viewing a channel in preview window and browsing other avail channels there’s no idication what channel is showing in preview window if u forget.
If u have adult section livetv it will not have password default set. On mags/stbemu many portal have it set to something those boxes will default to that. On buzz it didn’t see that think it was 0000 or not even set. Also even after it’s set u can still view channel names on in adult catigory which can/May be very descriptive.

So far that’s everything I can remember last few days of testing it. I understand they update fw now and then maybe they can take these issues into consideration.

The biggest issue for me and few others would be not having ability to edit order of favorites move channels around manually. I know u can sort by channel name or number. But being able to sort them move channels around . If it had that I’d still use it and live with rest of the issues I listed and wait for them to get fixed but as it is now channels are mixed up in order in favorites as that’s where it will sit 90% of the time

Also it always kicking to livetv when u exit catchup and not list of shows on same date. U gotta go back to select date and time if it’s a show right after it’s one u just watched. Don’t show how far back rec go no icon showin that. Also ff and rewind on catchup is slow but I read it’s better now than it used to be many months ago.
I got list of issues I got with stbemu too nothing is perfect I understand that.

I’ll prob grab buzz back when that fav issue gets resolved but I may not be able to pry it outta his hands by then.


Lastly
After that was informed chan info is in preview window I’m kinda blind so I guess I missed that and it is not a issue. As for Mac adress issue I guess it depends on server cause for me it locked to server after I had used same Mac on multiple devices running stbemu no issues and after using on buzz I couldn’t go back to stbemu. Others said they had no issue so must be a server by server basis just like the authentication needed on both live and vod on startup instead of just once. Some servers I guess require it.

Stabemu is pretty simple to setup. And I even said I got list of issues with stbemu also but that’s for another time. But do agree mag or buzz would be even easier. Only used mag 254 it’s got 512mb ram not 256 but it wont do h265 sources so in future when those streams become popular that box won’t be used. It’s replacement is 322 it does h265 but some don’t like it over the 254. The 256 I believe has 1gb ram and does h265. Mag runs just it’s software no additional stuff in Linux and is more efficient in its usage of its limited ram otherwise yes less ram it would run like crap on android but it runs fine/great on the amount of ram it’s got. Like my Kodi setups I would run Libreelec ran much better than on android. And buzz basic runs fine I’m told on 1gb ram android 6 also as long as you not running other apps.

Review was mentioned to help highlight some the things that could be improved. That’s it. Any reference to mag and stbemu was to highlight how those boxes did that task and if buzz could do same thing in a future update. All those comparisons where done as not a knock at buzz but from experience using dedicated Iptv box knowing buzz could fix these issues and make it better.
If you have not used stbemu or mag then would be hard to see these issues or care because you wouldn’t be aware of them I guess.
As I said I could have wrote many more good things about it but that’s already been done many times Here.

I’m not sure what your hung up on the 80s computervthing about. I just mentioned sat stuff from 80s like as in cband and dc2. As for 80s computer scene I was never really big part that had a c64 and amiga500 we would trade games from guys who would get them from boards or buy. Got into console gaming by time nes came out. As for what’s running this world I never implied 80s was soo great or that software was better or anything. I’m not sure if my mention of 80s upset you but was not my intention.
I just said “sat testing going back to late 80s” meaning cband dc2 and then into pizza dishes in the 90s. I’m not following you on showtell I’m really confused too on your posts, as for bots nope used to when was op or assisted in chans or was really into it, also used to log everything. nowadays I just pop in every few months say hi catchup maybe learn about what’s going on.
Lots old forums are no longer around Looks like many have moved onto other platforms like reddit discord telegram stuff like that.
So I don’t see the other forums u mentioned exept ones that say no talk of other servers so catchup talk woulda been bashed. This is only forum for this stuff I visit as I used to visit satfix few years ago and isn’t biased towards servers I think.

I Have buzz as I said gave to others to try as I perfered stbemu over it “at the moment” because of the issues I came across. I’m sure I’d use it when fav sorting gets figured out.
As for tech09 not sure if I’ve ever registered as a variant of tec9 before here or anywhere else. In last few years however this is only place I’ve used that tec9 handle I think. Drawing a blank on tech09 unless tec9 handle was already used. Nick was inspired from Intratec TEC-9 a 9mm gun popular yes in the 80s and 90s.

Just tried again today buzz and yea no idea how I missed the chan info in preview window. Guess it’s a combination of me being slightly bilind and me focused on looking in the channel list for a icon like stbemu and Iptvsmarters does it.

Reason I bring up iptvsmarters because I just saw it today and it looks damn close to how buzz interface looks when u going through channel list also it’s grid guide is nearly the same as buzz.

Perhaps a play icon can be added in the channel list showing what chan u on rather than trying to look for the channel name or number from the info in preview window. in list u can look for a coloured play icon, stands out and easier to find quickly

Rather than pick buzz totally apart and I’ll focus on things that matter more hopefully that won’t set others off.

speedwise it’s the lag in time it takes for channel info under preview window I find offputting. It’s only a second or so but seems instant using stbemu/mag. Moving around up down I guess it’s not too bad but that chan info delay can def notice.
The Mac locking and vod/ livetv auth on startup for both and showing I guess there not big deal and server dependant as others have posted.

I have not tested or used recording feature but am sure others here have I’ll try another time after issues get sorted out.


These other items hopefully get addressed mainly timeshift/catchup issues and few other things like favorites and way stuff is displayed.

Delay on chan info showing and adding a play icon like described above.
Show what catigory u in on livetv simpleview.
ability to manually sort favorites
adult channel names showing when locked




Timeshift/catch-up issues
ff rew being little slow to navigate.

when u kick outta timeshift it kicks u back to list with livetv selected playing in preview window not list of day u where last looking at so u gotta go back that day all over again

Playing around with gridguide and just a suggestion. Maybe they could add ability to change categories in gridguide that would be a nice touch.
Also after u select a stream to watch if u go to pick another channel(pressing ok or back) it kicks u outta gridguide and back to channel list .
Yes u can just hit epg to go back to gridguide but Maybe leave in gridguide people who like that gridguide my enjoy that better stay in that view and select channels categories without being forced back to regular list view every time.


Just noticed today for some odd reason in any catigory including all or favorites the channel being watched had wrong name. Stream would play of the one named under it. Off by 1 channel. Rebooted was fixed

Update
Finally got buzztv again to try with new update.
Tried to update in app but wouldn’t update just close when I press ok or go back to app.
After few days trying things finally worked Using file manager app I was able to see update file on box and update there.

Quick review after trying again for a day.
Box lot more usable now

Nice to see ability to sort favorites but seems buggy.
it took few hours cause when moving channels around others would move around ocationally by themselves and some not move past certain point. It was pain in the ass took about 2 hours to sort about 200 or so favorites cause channels already set kept mysteriously moving around I got close enough and left it.
Oddly they took out ability to sort faveorites now by name or channel number.
Needs work still but great to have option

Other great fixes
Hiding categories was great
Showing what category in simple view
Navigating timeshift ff and rew slightly better
Icons showing how far back timeshift goes. Shows a rew icon but unlike stbemu it’s not very accurate on what day recording stops.

Seems more stable no network issues havnt had to reboot or use cleanupbrush


However other annoying things still needing fixing

when u kick outta timeshift it kicks u back to list with livetv selected playing in preview window not list of day u where last looking at so u gotta go back that day all over again if u looking to watch other stuff same channel same day.
Also if in gridguide go timeshift when u exit it kicks u outta gridguide and back to list. Actually anytime u go to channel in gridguide u go back always takes u back to list not gridguide.

Other issue but is hardware related is the remote u gotta have pointed right at box. it’s annoying having to scroll and navigate waving remote around trying to get it to do things. Hopefully new box has remote or more forgiving angles when pointing.

Only new thing I noticed that may need work is how in detailed view channel catigory and channel is highlighted orange. Maybe have them different colors or more of a contrast(I know it’s already little darker but found I thought I was in channel list but was selecting catigory more than few times) .sometimes when highlighted catigory it seemed to not move when I pressed up/down until I pressed right toward channel list then back to catigories.

Ok tried again today about month later.
Played with it for few hours today.
Update 247 was taken no issues this time showed downloading and rebooted and after minute or 2 it was done.

Favorites now can be organized little easier and less buggy
But
When I pressed organize favorites button it would go to list of catigories to turn on and off.
It should have gone to fav list and ability to move them around. After a reboot it worked but was frustrating and did happen again and seems to happen often. Same thing happens sometimes in catigories other than fav if u select sort option? Seems like after tuning into a channel then going back to list menu it goes away. Also buzz app crashed few times when organizing favorites.

Also if u search for a channel and see list of channel results and u press yellow button to fav or unfav a channel u won’t see the star appear or disappear but it will still select it or deselect it still in the background because u will see star when u see channel.


Issue with Icon On list getting locked up seems to be fixed. But would still be nice to have channel in list currently playing to be highlighted or a icon in list showing the channel playing in preview window. Know it says in preview window but nice to see in list too


Other things I mentioned are also still not addressed. Like reverting back to catigory channel is from if u where in fav or all catigory, not staying in list of catchup when u exit catchup show watched, kicks u outta epg mode after u tuned to a channel and few other issues



I still havnt even tried pvr or tried fav on vod yet, still waiting on all this stuff to get worked on.

Box is now somewhat mostly usable but quirky things in menu still kick u out of catigory you where in and interface needs little work.

As for remote I’m used to rf and Bluetooth remotes so the ir remote sucks ass but you can always buy that buzz air remote.

Tried again later today and switched from Livetv to vod . Then changed back to Livetv and it went to adult catigory which is a hidden catigory anyway? Ontop that keeps asking for password if u don’t got password u can’t even go back to menu or change catigory just sits there asking for password and ok or cancel. Pressing any those just keeps going to adult catigory and asking for password. Even if u exit app come back in same thing. Had to enter password then change catigory to something else. Adult isn’t even there, as it’s a hidden catigory i set. if someone didnt know parental control password they would be stuck. This issue was super wierd.

Guess I will try again after updates come out to fix these issues.

Ok tried again today about month later.
Played with it for few hours today.
Update 247 was taken no issues this time showed downloading and rebooted and after minute or 2 it was done.

Favorites now can be organized little easier and less buggy
But
When I pressed organize favorites button it would go to list of catigories to turn on and off.
It should have gone to fav list and ability to move them around. After a reboot it worked but was frustrating and did happen again and seems to happen often. Same thing happens sometimes in catigories other than fav if u select sort option? Seems like after tuning into a channel then going back to list menu it goes away. Also buzz app crashed few times when organizing favorites.

Also if u search for a channel and see list of channel results and u press yellow button to fav or unfav a channel u won’t see the star appear or disappear but it will still select it or deselect it still in the background because u will see star when u see channel.

Are you able to explain these issues a little better, to get a better understanding. So they can be passed along to get fixed.

The EPG is only accessed by the button on the remote, or from the slide out menu by pressing the menu button, viewing the channel list has always been the default way when user presses ok or back on the remote. This has never been an issue or commented on by others, so I think this is just your personal preference. Changing categories within Grid EPG though is something we can look into

Its shown in preview window no matter where you are on the screen when scrolling through other channels, if you're viewing a channel list that has over 10 pages as an example, once you change pages this icon will no longer be there, so am not sure the point of this??

Thanx zorro, I was hoping you understood everything I been posting since I started this thread as it got sidetracked and derailed a few times.

Yup epg gridguide leaving you in it is just a preference some may prefer it.

Radio menu hopefully can be added as some portals have radio.

As for icon if u going through pages quickly instead of looking at preview window u can look for page that has icon. And if u on page with icon u can glance at list see what chan it’s tuned to. But again it’s not a issue but preference would help expeciaelly since I look at channel names and what playing as I browse not rely on preview window. if u are watching what’s on using preview window from list going Chanel to channel if u forget what channel tuned to it’s quicker to see icon on list than read channel number then find that channel number or name in List. Less to think about and makes interface easier to use.

Since I got box in sept it’s come long way. Next update, I may get that buzz airremote and use this buzz more often. Maybe also start playing around With recording functions and also the vod section.

a few servers I've tried that have radio show radio in category section

If u have acess to stbemu or a mag do these same servers show radio catigory along with channel catigories ? Or are they accessed in radio menu ? Maybe these servers have there radio channels on Livetv catigories.

on stbemu and mag boxes depending on server u have choice of tv, videoclub, downloads, recordings , settings, internet , YouTube, media browser on most and if server has radio u got a radio option. In there u have radio channels. Again these are radio channels audio only no video.
on buzz theres nothing in tv catigories. In menu, hide empty turned off also. And also check organize catigories to make sure radio catigory isn’t being hidden. Still no radio chans.

Maybe you are using servers that group radio channels along with Livetv Catigories while the server I’m trying has them only under radio option and not grouped with Livetv catigories. Can you verify using stbemu or mag box?

Just grabbed buzz again and fired it up. Before I updated i cleaned cache on buzztv app and used the brush icon to cleanup anything then rebooted. Selected live and update notification appeared a minute later and updated fine showing progress bar. No issues and updated to version 317

issues I encountered where after loading portals sometimes all channel numbers showed as 0. Or other times channel numbers showed fine but channel names where all blank. Exiting app didn’t fix. Exiting app and using brushicon and going back into buzzapp fixed both those issues.

Also if u go into organize catigories and adult is selected off and you turn it on you must Enter password. But if u later turn it off anyone can go back in and turn it back on without it asking for password. Tried brush icon and didn’t change. Cleared cache and rebooted box and that worked to get it to ask for password again. Maybe this can be looked into.

Few others things I noticed was when u press sort button only allows sorting by number or name. Can sorting by favorites be added. Know there’s a favorites catigory but quickly going into favorites by pressing sort button be nice. Think it was that way b4 the update or I may be confusing it with the way mag and stbemu do it.

Maybe adding way to quickly see what portal u on without having to go into server settings and distrupt video playback just a suggestion.

When u press epg and go into that view staying in that view when u exit channel. Know was told that’s way it’s ment to be but suggestion to allow u to stay in that view if u perfer it to list view.

Other things are already being looked at like changing catigory in epg mode and adding a radio menu which would be great additions.

Only quickly tested it for half hour but Hoping to spend some time with it over next week or so see if there’s anything I missed.

Used a cheap $7 mx3 airremote with USB dongle from China and it made using box way nicer not having to point damn remote right at box and frustrated when button presses do nothing. It don’t have vod Livetv epg info or recall ch buttons which the buzz stock ir remote has but it does still work well. Got 4 coloured buttons on bottom u can program to learn I set them to same colors on buzz remote but u can set them to any button info epg ect. Arq100 airremote is prob gonna be better as it’s got all the buttons plus more not on stock ir remote but this was 1/4 the cost. Great to use on android box,pc, console ect

The buzz arq remote is great and I love it but not all buttons work on it. Unless they updated it recently but I haven't checked in a couple months since I've been testing out other boxes.
