that's great news it is still the number 1 box

if i could i wish they could add more to the channel recall like the formluer z7+
when you press recall it has the last 10 channels you were on, makes watching a few channels at a time so much easier we hate commercials
lol

but thanks for the update and all the hard work from the buzz team!

Sweet... #13 and #14 will be welcome features in this household :)

For catchup, we often just switch to using STB Emu, just to have the FFWD option through commercials.. When we try to use FFWD/RWD on buzz right now, it just jumps to next/prev show, or just restarts the existing episode. Unless I am missing something and there is some other way (but that would be a topic for another thread).

Any idea of roughly what timeframe for general release ? Will it be in 2018, or sometimes in 2019 ? Don't take it the wrong way, we'd prefer it take longer and gets done right, than release something that you have to pull back because it is too unstable (like Xiaomi did on the Mii box earlier this year). Just curious if you had an idea of the "planned" schedule, that's all.

Thnx for the heads up.

huh can you not add a m3u list like you add a sub from an iptv provider like take your list to github

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HIGHWAYMAN99/remote-iptv/master/live.m3u dead link

Not using the buzz app. You can with the formuler.

Emporium yea the fw and rew is kinda messed up on buzz timeshift and catchup . I reported issue in my review. I was told they looked at all the things in my review to help improve box on next update hopefully all the drama in that thread didn’t deter them from seeing all the issues I posted.
I’m waiting for update myself to revisit the buzztv and hopefully start using it and replace stbemu or mag.
Looks like organizing favorites is added. if the all issues with network slowdown having to cleanup and reboot ,hiding adult channels, showing icon to see how far back catchup goes, icon on channel list showing what channel is currently in preview window, catchup and navigating ui are fixed this box is gonna be a great device for Iptv

hiding adults depends on the service not the box

Yes provider can disable adult category but if u have adult catigory it will ask for password to get into that category. On buzz it still goes into catigory and shows names of channels. On other boxes and stbemu it won’t allow u to even go into the catigory without entering a password which is a good thing because the names can be descriptive.

Why revisit the buzztv ? It's still perfectly usuble, and better than many other boxes in it's current state.

It is still a great box, and like others, it has a few quirks for now. Unlike others, it is going to get an update. But in the meantime, it is still quite usable in it's current state for watching TV. Other than the FFWD/RWD feature on catchup there is no "major" issue. The network slowdown issue you mention is very easily solved by just changing the power button to actually shutdown the box instead of sleep. This way, when you first power it up every day, it take a whopping 1 minute longer to boot, but no issues. I've have yet to experience any issues since I did that, even running a whole day of streaming. So in my opinion, that is not show stopper, and neither are all the "nice to haves".

Hiding adult channels for me, is not a huge issue. For households, change channel list to simple view (which hides categories by default). And then put your channels in favorites, and that is all they will see. Now if they are smart enough to press left, change to new category, and then browse the channels, then you should not have internet. Because they can watch a lot more freely today on web sites like tube&, p0rnHub, youj1zz, etc... And if you think your router restrictions or anything else can stop kids today, think again. Kids, with social media, pool their resources today and realize they can use free VPN services, to bybass these restrictions, and go to any sites they want, to stream video, audio, etc... So unless you use a whitelist style blocklist, kids find ways around them.

For icon on channel list for current channel, it is a minor issue. If you want to start from current channel again, just press the back button to go back to full screen view, and then press OK again, to get back into channel list, and you will be at current channel. Very minor detail.

For the catchup options (which I use on occasion), I just have stbemu setup on the same box, programmed with same MAC, so I just exit the buzztv app, and launch stbemu for those occasional times. Minor inconvenience, but nothing major.

Is it perfect ? no
Is ANY box perfect? NO...
Even boxes that have been around for years and have had a few updates, still don't come close.
Bottom line, box is perfectly usable, with only real annoyance is catchup ffwd/rwd features once you are watching catchup.
Everything else either has a simple workaround for now, or is a nice-to-have.

Anyhow, when the update is released to general public, we can hopefully put these discussions to rest..

For myself all those annoyances plus more kept me from using the box in the state the buzztv is at moment. But yea hopefully they adress all those issues.
Also with buzz yes another issue was password had to be set for adult. when on other boxes it was locked to a provider setup password. On buzz it acts like no password needed unless u manually assign a password on your box or it’s 0000.

I just installed the buzztv2 app to version 2 on 5 boxes this afternoon. On 2 boxes though going through main menu-settings-update-manual update didn't work, but going through the buzztv2 app and hitting menu-check updates worked. Just FYI in case someone can't get the update.

A little slicker for sure. First thing I noticed is a fade effect when switching between windows, menus, etc. Also, love the fact the user can edit which categories are showing! Less work for the reseller if using a sub where categories can be edited on the reseller side of things.

Is there anywhere I can either download a manual for the buzztv box ? I need to catch up on everything the box has to offer, so far I am impressed and IPTV has come a long way and now a viable option.

Also buffering option added would that cause a turning circle constantly in the center screen if set at 10. What does it do ?
