been thinking and was wondering if anyone else might have thought about or knows of a solution that will auto change channels and log for working channels? it will obviously have to have the ability to view 8PSK-turbo and connect to the IKS server. i searched and couldnt find a PC tuner card that would be compatible let alone software. might there be way to use the serial connection to a sat tuner to control it from a PC and have the tuner report back whats working to the PC? obviously the point of this is to search for any channels that might be working still on the IKS server and generate a list of whats up and down to keep people semi happy till things are fixed. call me stupid or whatever but having something like this is better than watching the preview channel. also dont pull the "get a sub" card, not the answer im looking for so have your breath and key strokes.

Can't say I have ever heard of anything that would do that, why go through to all the trouble when you can just flip through all the channels and post what is working, not to mention the working channels are constantly changing day-to-day and are different for every service.

to sit there and start a 100 and go the whole way into the 9000's? i dont have a spare day to do that channel by channel. im looking at technology to do the work for me, i can just check a list on my PC and know whats working and whats not especially in times like right now where south seems totally screwed.

you could just delete those non working channels

was given an idea by another user here to use a dreamlink T6 and write an app for it to do this between the T6 and a PC over a LAN connection. im very capable of writing android app's so i think i may get a T6 and see where it takes me. worst case i have a receiver that i can write my own apps for.
