Version 2.0 (211) EPG Issue

Before the update, I would go in to the Favourites category and bring up EPG and it would only show me the guide for those channels in Favs. Also the system would never kick me out of Favs unless I chose to select a channel outside of Favs.

Now, after the update, when I repeat the process, EPG brings up the guide for every channel in the English category and when I select a channel and then hit return to bring up the categories list, I find that I am back in the English category. I change back to the Favs category, bring up a channel in Favs and then go back to EPG, the same thing happens again.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in the new build?

Same thing happening here and a few friends with the favourites epg prob......Mentioned it in a different thread a few weeks ago so Im sure it will be looked into eventually.

I got my unit in December and the 211 was immediately applied... I too have this EPG issue but it is not immediate. If I select a channel from favourites and then start going up or down, I stay in favourites. But if i stay there for a while, up and down will revert to the group of the selected channel.

Yes we know it’s an issue with anyone on 211 or earlier As stated it’s been looked after

I did find that if I hit the 'OK' button on a channel and while it shows the channel list, then hit guide, it works most of the time but not always.

Should have probably read "being looked after"...

I'm on 2.0(211) and I can reproduce the issue..

It's a particular sequence of events to reproduce.
- First go to "list view", and select your favorites group... Now you should only see your favorite channels as expected..
- Select a channel to switch to. Now it switches to channel, no problem there.
- Now hit the EPG button to bring up the "EPG view", it will show only your favorites (which is still fine).
- Now select a different channel from the EPG view, and switch to it.
- Now if you bring back the "list view", you will find yourself in the native channel group of the channel you selected from the EPG (ie: ENGLISH, FRENCH, etc..).

So it seems that picking a channel to switch to from the "EPG view" only, will internally select the native channel-group of the selected channel. Switching channels from the "list view", will not change the channel-group, it will remain as "favorites".

Probably not a difficult change on the part of buzz. Probably just need to comment out the code that redefines the channel-group when selecting a channel in the EPG view function. There is no real reason to redefine it (unless there used to be a bug which used to lose it's channel-group somwhow).

ie: Patience, and they'll fix it. I'm sure someone will pass the info onto them.

As stated its been looked after and works fine with the beta file

go to market(aptoide) and search for buzztv to update

This still not fixed in update. I updated my review to reflect new upgrade to buzzapp.

Also if u guys can’t update like me in app. It wouldnt do anything after pressing ok.

Never saw anyone post about going in file manager.
After few days trying I was about to give up toss this thing back at person I gave to months ago. I was cleaning box up checking file manager saw file update there.
As for 218 I don’t see any update available but will update when it’s available and post my findings in my thread I started a while back

Not sure if it’s default app or was installed after the fact. But in apps saw a app called file manager. Basically a file browser like es file explorer and saw update file (from failed update in buzztv app )forget the folder it was in but it launched and installed
