Dreamlink T2 Prime is the best I've used by far.

I'll throw my 2 cents in for the Global Media Box.

Stay away from MAG and TV Online... I've tried both and over the time, it become so slow and start freezing.
Im looking for new one too... for me its either going to be T2 Prime or Buzztv 3900.

I have both...the T2 is superior. The needs 3900 would benefit from better coding to deal with the annoyances. I must mention that my first 3900 was defective with an hdmi problem as well

I have BuzzTV 3000, Formuler 7z+ and Nvidia Shield TV.
All 3 have their annoyances but in general, I would not go with anything else.

Mag254 only, for simplicity... Buzz3000 for a great picture and ease of use for IPTV, or 'proper' android TV firmware box.
IPTV server that is reliable makes the biggest difference at the end no matter what box. Finding a reliable server is the hardest, all the servers will have issues on and off.
There is no perfect server or box... but one advice stay far far away from cheap $40 Chinese android boxes. more headaches than worth the price.

Like you said, there is no perfect box. They all have their issues. I think the buzz is great bang for the buck. And right now, they are actively supporting it, with bug fixes and new features.

For cheap Chinese $40 boxes, definitely NOT for a main box. It will be a frustrating experience and you'll curse IPTV, when in reality it was the choice of hardware which was flawed. I also have a chinese cheap box 1G/8G el cheapo from years back. Using it with service specific APKs (perfect player versions, or IPTV smarters, or other custom) is often painful. However install STB Emu Pro on it, and use Just that, and it is actually usable. STB Emu pro is light enough, and since a lot is handled on the portal side, it doesn't overwhelm the unit, and it is usable as a secondary box. I have it in a spare room with a 27" monitor connected, for those occasions :)

best box ive have ever owned and still do is the mag 256...if you can find one you will be in luck, i doubt it though
its as solid as the 254 was but is faster
works with at least 7 servers that ive tried..ipguys (all 3 that they have) ok2 ok3 crown and a few others
no issues at all...ever
on the other hand i purchased a few buzz 3000 boxes recently for friends and family and im forever cleaning cache or playing around with other settings like video player... trying to solve out of sync audio and video or freezing issues
seems like every server you try on the buzz needs to be tweaked.. colossal pain in the you know where

the second best option ive found was a cheap generic android type box with the latest stbEmu software
currently using a A95X R2 with 2GB of ram and 16GB rom ...about 50.00 bucks
again the default player seems to work with all servers ive tried
no issues whatsoever

lastly...if you want reliability with a built in iptv app from the manufacture and at a reasonable price
try the dreamlink T2...for me it works heads and tails better than the buzz 3000 box
the dreamlink is a bit slower than the buzz
but who really cares when in the end performance is better...

Agree with the T2 (prime)over the buzz for sure.

I got a Buzz xpl 3000 when I first tried IPTV.It seemed like a great box at First but would Freeze up at times or would not power on and would have to unplug to power on.Sold it to a Buddy(oh yeah,at a good discount price because I made him aware of the Bugs). Then decided to get a Formuler 7z+.This box will not freeze up while watching IPTV.However sometimes it will also not power on and will need to be unplugged to power on.Perhaps this freeze up hiccup comes from my service provider or my Routeur.

to all the powers to be....
any word on any new boxes coming out?

i have the buzz xpl 3000 2018 updated.
i like the box an all that it can do but it dose have its issues. my friends remote just died this week. i have has since the last update the box freezes and i have to reboot by unplugging and plugging it back in and this happens even after i have cleared the cache on the home page and in the buzztv app.

just starting to wonder if the unit needs more ram? i don't know im no computer guy.
i do love that they have great support for there product, not like the other boxes meaning buzz hears people and trys to fix issues

after what people say about the 3900 it dose not sound like a new thing to me.

just a question was all, and i like new toys
thanks

I HAVE an xpl 3900:it's not a bad unit but the coding has far to go.The Dreamlink T2 Prime is far better, but still not perfect. The guide is hit & miss.I still prefer HTPC over all of them, but you can't compare the price point.lol
