Report: 'Law & Order: Los Angeles' Gets 13 Episode Order

NBC has picked up a 13-episode order for "Law & Order: Los Angeles," according
to Deadline.com's Nellie Andreeva.

"Brotherhood" creator Blake Masters has been hired to write the new series with
the legendary Dick Wolf, who created the "L&O" franchise.

In other 'L&O' news, according to the article, "Law & Order: SVU" has been
cleared for a 12th season, with Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni
scheduled to return in a one-year deal they signed with NBC last spring.

Furthermore, the article states that it looks like the original series "Law & Order
will indeed live to see another year, giving it a record-breaking 21st season,
which would stand alone as the longest running primetime drama in history.

The series' cable home TNT is expected to throw in an off-network fee that will
help lessen the cost for NBC of bringing the crime drama back for another year.
