Solar storm coming

A NASA satellite has spotted a big solar flare aimed directly at the Earth, and that material will likely hit us on Saturday.
NOAA forecasts a solar storm starting Saturday morning and continuing into Sunday.

If you wrap tinfoil on your head& stand on your roof with a laptop, you can get Directv for the duration of the flares disruption.

Its only rated to be in the G2 range, now if it was to be in the G5 range then we drag out the lead lined underwear.

Now if it was a really really BIG CME then we could be back in the stone age, as all silicon based electronics would be history, so would our power grid.

An update to this one, a big flare today, this may cause problems with HF radio and satellite communications..

As you can see the green line almost hit the 10 MeV warning line, this would/could cause loss of signals on cell phones, TV and other radio systems.
