Frame Rate & IPTV

Does the refresh rate play an important role in streaming live iptv? My daughter and I have the same box, same sub, very strong wifi and yet she's experiencing a lot of buffering while I am not. The only thing I can think of, is that my tvs are all new 2018 where hers is about eight years old. I read that 4K tvs have a 60 or 120 fps rate.

Frame rate of the TV set would not make a difference in a data stream buffering problem, buffering is caused by loss of incoming data on the ISP connection, are you both on the same WIFI? (sharing the same router at the same location)

Or is she on a separate account, at a different location?

It's the IPTV box that handles and decodes all the data, the TV does nothing but display what was sent to it by the IPTV box, it could be a problem with her IPTV box, or the ISP connection it's self, one way to test this is to move your box to her location (if she is at a different location then you) and try it out.
