Trying to update the firmware from kitkat to lollipop, I'm a Mac user, don't have a windows PC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just read that lollipop is only for the plus

Yes, use to do OTA updates, now it says "system is up to date".
Having issues, with empty repo's and unable to install anything new or update
existing apps.
