View Full Version : Annoying Buffering Problem

I have just recently purchased the BuzzTv xpl3000. The device comes across as having great potential! But, I can't make an honest assessment yet until I can overcome, hopefully easily and without having the hassle of returns, to resolve a very annoying issue affecting the quality of my streaming experience.
Thank you satFIX and dedicated and knowledgeable members for being here. I have not had any luck in getting any support for this device. I truly hope my answers lie here!
After 45 minutes (+/-) of viewing, regardless of time or channel, my BuzzTV box goes into a predictable never ending cycle of patterned buffering. Each cycle is exactly 6 seconds of buffering, 7 seconds of viewing. Once it starts, it never ends until you turn off the device and return the next day. Then after 45 minutes, it repeats. Needless to say, I have yet to be able to watch a program 30 minutes or longer.
The facts:
I have a 500Mbps service and the speeds are consistently high on all my nternet connected devices
I have this issue whether connected via wifi or ethernet
I subscribe to a reputable IPTV provider.
During the initial 45 minutes of use, the performance of the BuzzTv box is exceptional. No problems and ver satisfied. not so much thereafter though.
BuzzTV version2.0 (317) updated 08/01/2019
Model XPL3000 Version 7.1.2 Build V002S901_20181121
This problem occurs also with the use of other clients like Perfect Player and KODI PVR IPTV Simple Player
This problem does NOT occur on my other media devices (laptop through KODI, or QBox Android Box)
This is really preventing me from giving this device a fair evaluation. I hope someone is able to provide some advice, ideally a solution. Your generosity and patience is greatly appreciated.

Hi Dishuser, I appreciate your reply. After posting I discovered how to do that and did so. I didn't realize it would wash out my server settings. No big deal. I reentered them, copy and pasted the server URL, but now it won't connect. Incorrect server URL.
I will report back once I can reassess, but I hope that's not a routine thing tohave to do.

memory is the brush in bottom corner of home page
and you were to clear cache not data

It may be too early to say, but things look like they may have improved for most channels. Seems to not have improved on ocal network channels, but so far buffer free on the cable specialty channels I've monitored.
So my question now, is it common/expected/necessary to have to clear the cache manually, or was I approaching this wrong in that the cache wasn't taking care of itself?
The brush on the botom corner of the home page clears the memory. Is memory the same of the cache? When would you clear the memory, ie, use the brush?

No significant improvement. Just as prominent as before clearing cache.

IPTV Clouds.
I'm seriously looking at others to compare, but the task is daunting. OCEAN IPTV? FAST IPTV? CANADASTREAMSLIVE? Augh!

I'm still not convinced it's the service as it works flawless on my other devices.
Of the 5 you tried, which one do you feel is delivering the best. Perhpas I will look at them.

Never heard of them:try something more mainstream.Several great ones here that you can audition for cheap. In no particular order:Beast,OK3,and any of several that IPTVGURL sells. All great services.

as always under the impression that popularity = drain on servers = buffering etc (but may not be a substantiated understanding). I will have a look. Can't pull up anything with "IPTVGURL" though.

Thank you both for your support. I stand corrected, I am now convinced it was the server. :-)
I am trying OK3 and the differenceis clear.

The device does not cause buffering, not sure why folks never blame service they are using. So you wrote alot of stuff in your first post for nothing.... really.

Can't agree with this enough. 5Ghz has a lot of bandwidth which will allow for increased throughput. If all your other devices support 5Ghz too I suggest disabling the 2.4Ghz radio altogether.

I do on ok3 lately and I am hardwired LAN. Excellent bandwidth in the 4 to 5 hundreds dl and 32 ul everywhere in the house that's connected even the buzz boxes. TLC on Sunday and Mondays terrible....Donald Trump rally nights on Fox lately unwatchable. Buffering and repeating a loop over and over nothing resolves it
