So for the last few days I have been noticing all kinds of colorful lines on my tv, dotted lines and wormy lines different colors. My server was down for a day (no hd channels just some sd) and came back on line today.
I can not get any HD channels, only SD. I have 2 modules, green (old) and blue (newer and have been using it for 3 years). When the blue (newer) one is in, I get 0 signal. When I put in the older green one, I get signal and SD channels but no H
Do you guys think it is the module or could it be something else?
Thank you.

try it without the module to see if you at least get sd channels and try a different power supply maybe too they seem to cause some crazy problems i know i had a few that did.

I am using it now without the module and do get SD channels and no HD channels. The T5 power supply is :input 50/60 hz .8A max
output 12v 2.5 A
I have a spare power supply that is:input 50/60 hz .8A max
output 12v 2.0 A
I am clueless when it comes to electro stuff and don't know whether I can use the spare power supply I have.

output 2.5 A is better for T5 than 2.0A
I use a 3.0 A output

replace xx with tt for link above
Probably combination of PS and heat. Remove the cover off the factory tuner for starters. I though I made a thread here about adding a fan in the Dreamlinks but can't find it.
Actually I did make a post here:
https://www.satfix.to/showthread.php?207399-Bad-Signal-T5-and-T4
Download the pictures it shows how to add a fan. The fan is 35mm and 5VD and plugs into the header on the PCB of the Dreamlink. You may have to move the fan inbound from where it is in the pictures, either way it works perfect no bad signal.

If you think it Might be the Power Supply there is a (Sticky: Power Supply) all about it and what works etc.

jets you need to code your link so it's not live
You know I thought I did it correct I hit the Link Icon and inserted the link and it showed URL in bracket on both ends of link. I thought that is how I did it in the past? Or do I still need to edit http to hxxp when using the link icon?

Thanks for the link. I don't think it is the power supply, though. I am still using the machine and watching SD while waiting for the replacement Module.

Here is where I'm at. A new HD module was installed but I am not getting any HD channels to show up. Bev 91 shows blue signal and quality and channels show up in SD. Bev 82 red signal and quality lines and no HD channels come in.
I tried a different power supply also. No change.
Can it be the LNB for 82? Do LNBs even break? Any thoughts?
Thank you.

Legacy or DP lnb's?Possible bad module...lnb...switch if legacy...cabling....settings wrong.I think that covers the possibilities.

Legacy LNB. Changed LNB. No difference. 91 comes in with good quality and strength. 82 70 % 1-20 quality and no channels. How can 91 channels come in but not 82?

Did you install the New Module correctly, made sure it was "seated" and correct position ?
Also are you locked on to Sat. 82, under dish settings, should show locked 82 in top right corner (TV SCREEN)

Do you think the way the module is seated can affect whether the unit has issues with scanning 82 channels? I mean anything is possible. Just to be sure, which way should the arrow point? Thanks!

The arrow should point to the back of Rec. when seated "FIRMLY"

Your welcome, I would advise to try and keep Rec. as cool as possible, being that they are so tiny in size
which creates alot of "Heat ISSUES", I went as far as installing a fan in the top cover blowing air down over components
to keep things cool.

Thank you. I have had this box for a few years and it has yet to overheat on me but I do keep it well aired . There is a problem that I have had with it for the longest time and that is drop outs. Both audio and video. Very quick dropouts both in sound and darkness for a split second. I have become used to it but very annoying. Maybe you want to go for the knockout?

How do you have it hooked up HDMI or other ? If HDMI, try component see if that changes any (sound and darkness)

You can try a different HDMI cable, or can you "Temp" hook up to a TV that has component/RCA inputs to see
if the issue persists or not (rule it out) ?

Ya the box gets hot a lot. My plumber had his green module crap out itself. He saw bunch of pixels like what you see when it freezes on hd chs until hd chs totally stopped working. He then got the blue module and a cheap usb fan to keep it cool.

This sounds EXACTLY like the problem a friend just had.
Tried my T5 at his house .......same problem.........then hooked his T5 at my house and it worked perfect for a whole day.
Changed the LNB.........same problem
Added a powered multi switch.......still a problem
Today changed all of the cables from the dish to the T5 (and the extra cable for the multiswitch)
BINGO..................everything is back to normal
