Using the Remote press the on and off button while it in the file download..
The box will Factory Reset its self
Leave on the homepage until it asks for a reboot
then the new file will load!! (3mins or so)

This is not working for me. I just got 2 XRS4000 boxes. Turned it on, then first came up Language,Time zone,Resolution Screen size which had zoom in, zoom out and done. Went to done and pushed the ok button. Then I got Device not authoriced. Did this about 10 times. Never got to the home page. Also when I restarted I pressed the on and off button and ended up with the same result.
What else can I do. This is on both boxes.

If reboots are not working i suggest you contact buzz here
Make sure you give them both your macs and they should be able to authorize your box

Thank you for asking about hard wire. I replaced the wire and I'm good Now.
