buzz tv help

Sorry, I am new to iptv, just got a buzz xpl3000 and set up was going great, hit a wrong key when entering portal and and it put me to menu with livetv, vod,apps,market,settings. Have tried everything and can't figure out how to get back to where I enter server info. No destructions at all and I'm old and dumb I guess.

Thx I tried that and it keeps saying buzz tv has stopped, then a sign like@open app again.

Did you unplug the buzz box for 30 + seconds, and try again.

Do a factory reset.Restart the Buzz take the updates again.

Thx guys, never try to set up a new box when you've had a few too many pops. Did factory reset this AM and started over, all good now. Lol

Ok, maybe not all good now. I turned the box and tv off when I went out this morning, turned it on and same issue. Had to redo everything, any help why, I don't want to turn it off now.

Hey buddy,

I backtracked the thread but couldn’t tell how your setup.

Do you have a sub that you load a file then use a username and password
or
Are you using a MAC ID and a server Portel ?

I believe your using the second method. Let us know..?.... you’ll get it and if not there are many helpful people to get you running.

I can't do that, when I go to settings, then server, it goes to server 1,2,3,4 etc. The video goes so fast and I don't have stronger readers I am not sure if I'm missing something.

Don't go into server data...look carefully at the video

Google search your problem:there is more than 1 youtube video showing the same method.It does work.
Also:change the youtube video setting to hd rather than the default 480p.MUCH clearer!

Thanks, that got me there but it didn't work for me. Have to watch the video again and try to get it right. Have to do the factory reset again and start over. hopefully getting the steps correct.

Alrighty then...disconnect internet cable.Factory reset.**ck the server info.Watch the video.Reboot & take the update.***ck the server info AGAIN.Watch the video again AND DO WHAT IT SAYS .Reboot.NOW concern yourself with the server info.If that doesn't work, put it on the floor & stomp it.I will send you the 80 bucks.lol

go into server settings ,hit the menu button At the bottom left tell me what version is

factory reset is a last resort
There are a few things that can be done when having issues before performing a reset

OK, I don't have OK3 any more so I can't test with that, but I did notice an issue with the latest version (350) of the buzztv2 app which does a force close.

I use an M3U sub, streaming line with username/pass. And it works for the most part. BUT... If you are in the Buzztv2 app, and hit the menu option, and then under configuration, go to display style. By default it is set to Detailed view (which personally I find annoying - but that is a preference). If you set it to Simple view it has a problem. It will basically force close every time you press the "OK" button to switch between full screen streaming and channel list. Also works fine if you call up the EPG mode. But if you are in "SIMPLE view" and you go into the channel list, it force closes.

I figured maybe something changed in the layout of the settings file and it just needed to be reset, so I went into the apps section, uninstalled updates and cleared data. Rebooted, and it took the latest update again without issue. Then I rebooted again and went into server settings, set up a basic test M3U file, and all worked fine. Then I changed to "simple view" and boom, constant force close each time I try to go to channel list.

So v350 does have some strange issue (at least with M3U subs). For now, I have left it in Detailed view until the next update comes down the pipeline. Would be nice if someone with connections to buzz, pass the message along.

Also if someone else using their buzz with M3U test the above issue.


EDIT: I just got a MAC sub to OK3, and I have the same issue on an XPL3000.
IF you go to configuration and set your "display style" to "simple", it force closes every time you go into channel list. Can someone else test it also ? Tested on a Boomerang Mate 1, and it doesn't exhibit this issue so it may be xpl 3000. Anyone with an XPL 3000 can test if they exhibit same issue, with "display style" set as "Simple view"
