For MAC based, there is not much. At least none worth mentioning. I tried a few a while back that would pop up here and there (names slip my mind), but they were all way too unstable (felt like early beta copies), or not geared for TV use (mostly for tablet and phone - so remote use was a pain). I heard of one recently which is not too bad, but I don't recall the name. Question is, even if it is usuable now, how long will it last and is the dev actively fixing issues. What is wrong with STB Emu ? Don't like it ? It works, it is actively being developed, and even the pro version is not that expensive if you chose to buy it.

STBEmu in my opinion for MAC based services is still one of the better ones and most stable for generic Android boxes.

For M3U/Xtreme codes logins, I use Perfect player and TiviMate. Perfect player however in the last few revisions has been very buggy, and I find it hangs too often. TiviMate I have started using lately and it seems quite solid.

However, nothing beats an actual STB for viewing experience.
And considering you can get something like the "buzz mate I" for $80 on amazon, I don't see the point of using generic Android boxes for IPTV viewing.

I’m using a fire stick, i have two different services I offer and I have had hand full of customers message me saying most of the channels are freezing then playing then freezing. All the devices are up to date so I have a feeling it maybe the stb that is causeing the issue so I want to try a different player to compare

I haven't tried it, but you could always install an Android Emulator and use STBEmu :)

Something like bluestacks or this:

The only other program I knew of for PC, ceased development in alpha version. it was called YASEM (Yet Another Stb EMulator). HAsn't been updated in 4 or 5 years.

Or if you just want liveTV (and don't care for VOD stuff), then you can probably also get Kodi with Stalker client (haven't tried it in years..).
