I had welders flash one time and besides burning eyes I could put pressure on a part of my eye and tears would drip like a leaking faucet.A friend had been to the doctor for this and had eye drops that had cocaine in it and after a drop in both eyes it was like nothing ever happen.

My dad had a welding shop and I worked there till about 33. I kept some of those drops in the shop and they work wonders but I asked an ophthalmologist several years ago and they are no longer legal she said. Too bad. They were a savior for arc burn.
