I'm not a fan of snakes myself, but it's a STRONG dislike rather than a fear of them.
I caught (alive by hand) an 18" rattler in the back yard at the family cottage near Owen Sound Ont about 25 years ago.My children were both quite young then, so I explained to the snake he couldn't hang around anymore.lol
