StreamPro - some functions explained
Initial Power Up
After power up, you may experience it seemingly stuck on the initial StreamPro splash screen and also the next StreamPro screen as well, BUT its not stuck thou, it just takes a few seconds longer then expected.

Next you will need to select a few initial settings, as per shown below...
-Language
-TimeZone
-Resolution
-Screen Size
-Connect to WiFi

You must connect the WiFi now in order to proceed. But if you simply connect the Ethernet cable now, then once the box senses the connection, the screen will switch to the finish of the initial setup.

Next you will be taken to the Home/Launcher screen and Chrome Browser app will begin it's install, followed by the Netflix app.
Let these install, and if wanted you can always un-install these at a later time.

There will also be a firmware update for your NEW StreamPro G1 box. This update is needed, let it proceed.

The Launcher screen should show a few apps onboard.
Click on the All Apps to see the list of user apps onboard.

While on Launcher screen use the Settings button on the RCU to bring up a sidebar android menu.
Here you will see a list of things to explore.
There is an apps option there too and opening that will give you an entire list of apps onboard. Here for instance we can open the Google Play services app and set Permissions. That would be things like location ON or OFF and etc, etc...
In this Apps category, we can also un-install user apps here.

Back on the Launcher screen we can use the + icon to add apps to our Launcher screen.
Click it to open and see which apps we have onboard for adding.

StreamPro Emu can be seen here on Launcher screen. that is your iptv app.
It is the Mag250 emulation.
We will talk about that below in the Server setup portion of this page.

The settings button on the RCU seems to be the only way to access the onboard Android Settings.

Factory Data Reset
Use the Settings button on your remote control.
Settings > Storage & Reset > Factory Data Reset

This will erase all data from your device's internal storage, including any google accounts, system and app data and settings and downloaded apps.

System will reboot after selecting the Reset.
After the reboot, you may experience it seemingly stuck on the initial StreamPro splash screen and also the next StreamPro screen as well, BUT its not stuck thou, it just takes a few seconds longer then expected.

If your network was setup thru WiFi you will need to re-enter that WiFi password, or have an Ethernet connection.
Next you will be taken directly to Home/Launcher screen and the Chrome Browser will start it's install, followed by the Netflix app install.

-This reset function will delete all your installed apps. Any apps that you yourself installed will be deleted but the apps that were already onboard will remain.
-This reset function will delete any server setups that may have been previously setup.
You will have to re-do any server setups.
-This reset function will delete any saved WiFi passwords.
You will have to re-do any WiFi setups.

in fact most buttons don't work on remote

that's not good if buttons don't work. Maybe a bug fix in the future?

You must connect the WiFi now in order to proceed. But if you simply connect the Ethernet cable now, then once the box senses the connection, the screen will switch to the finish of the initial setup.

Actually in my case, I started with the Ethernet cable plugged, and it didn't detect it, and insisted on connecting to WiFi to continue. I tried unplugging, waiting a few second and then replugging the cable (figured it would detect the change of state, and it made no difference. Needed Wifi connection to get any further. However after it connected to WiFi and completed the setup wizard, it did detect the Cable and I was able to remove/forget the WiFi and it works fine.

The settings button on the RCU seems to be the only way to access the onboard Android Settings.

Actually from the main launcher screen, if you scroll off to the right, you will get into a settings screen. If you go to the last option on the bottom "More settings" and select it, it also open the Android settings side bar.

For the RCU buttons, the absolute "basic" work, but many others need to be mapped to something. Surprising, the "quicksupport" is mapped and launches the quicksupport app :) Hitting the red button while watching TV full screen, I was surprised to see a "record" dialog box :) I did not explore it any further for now (since internal memory is limited and didn't want to fill it up), but will test it soon.
