An outback opal mining town so hot, many of the homes were built underground.
A very ragtag area. Most houses basically have a scrap yard out the front. No real uniform to streets either, seems like people just decided to dig underground and have a small veranda out front. A really random place. Aboriginal community basically in it too. Downside is police from Adelaide get flown up as recruits and pull over locals for very basic stuff as they're learning the ropes and are extremely keen to get their quota. Locals are leaving the town in droves because of this and other reasons. You've definately got to be a hardy person to love here, through weather and personality traits.
