Yes it lights up but it is really sluggish, not sure what the issue is but I will try the batteries

remove batteries and press a bunch of buttons for 10 to 30 seconds to clear

Thanks that worked , this remote must be a pig on batteries because I have only had it a month, they were at22% installed new and it good, cool feature too thanks a lot much appreciated

Usually the case only if Bluetooth isn't connected or remotes not paired

Although I've encountered it with some cheap batteries as well..

I don't have one as yet but I use the remote on the vidstick and what I did was deactivate the back light and it has made a huge difference in battery life.

I have a pair of cheaters, I can see just fine, but not so much on that small print.

I knew it had to be like that because I learnt from the previous one on the 4500 I think it was. I have mi e off from day 1 and I just checked it at 79%. But I got mine almost 2 months after you.
