WALMART`S 30 dollar Onn streaming device

i was given this as a gift its my first streaming box so i cant compare this to any others
the device is great!worked on all my tv`s old and new turned my old plazma tv into a smart tv.
paired with open bullet etc lol you have all the tv you can get. the device does exactly what all the
top media players do on those 200( as per reliable friend who has them all) buck boxes ott navigator smarters iptv xtreme tivimate vlc all do great on this device.you need a splitter for storage and i use an old usb game controller. you can side load modded apps like ott and games.games worked well on this device.i downloaded dead trigger 2 and into the dead they played very good for me i borrow hulu netflix spotify from friends/you it all works great.dont own a 4k but the pic on my samsung is great i can see nose hairs lol there are some that are giving bad reviews but they seem to be coming from folks that dont know zilch about iptv.my youtube channel looks fabulous.not a big fan of media boxes but for the price this device works very good so i posted this to help someone on a budget.

i do my grocery shopping at walmart just a few blocks away
i talked a empolyee in the entertainment section he says their selling them fast
i think they just put them online too you could only get them at the store in the past
i thought this was a joke @ 29 bucks when my neighbor gave me this but its good it wont make
you a cup of coffee in the mornin but its straight forward does a great job with iptv the 4k i have not tested
but at 1080i it does as good as your tv does.the games work decent i switched over to an xbox gamepad it works like it should.like i say not a lot of bells and whistles but definitely worth the price.

Onn from what i could find is supposed to be high end product from CHINA lol offered at a low price
they have tv`s too i checked out the 55" for 418 bucks the thing has a very nice picture.

from what i see. i dont know what to tell ya other than it works very good i do use it.I bought the 55'

seems like onn had this in the plans anyway they do update these boxes got a remote update
recently the remote is very good very simple to use.At android 10 its already a step above most.
i havent checked on the secret codes for apps yet but with ott navigator premium mod loaded
and kshaw no real need for anything else.

many in the case.the manager asked me what was so special about these boxes i told him they were cheap
in price and work perfectly i have had not one problem with my ONN in the few weeks that i have own it.
i showed the manager apps like smarters ott nav kshaw on my phone then set his phone up with some iptv this dude went crazed 9.6 but in a good way.the manager asked me for my email so he could contact me for advice on the Onn box said he was going to buy one. few days went by and i got a mail from the manager thanking me for hooking him up and offered to give me a new Onn box nexted time in wow helping pays sometimes lol!
he is my new grasshopper setting him up with the tools and my knowledge he will have all the free iptv he can handle.

the price is still 19.95, 24 and some change after taxes.....you cannot beat this deal sorry!

I ordered one from walmart for 27.62 usd free shipping.Got it set up and it works great better than some of my other boxes.Not bad for a box that is about 3.5" square.

There is a mouse toggle mod for the ONN boxes, I tried it on my ONN Box and Stick it works................let me see if I can find the video of this app modified.......................................... .TP
the code for the ONN remote is the same as chrome remote on the video the guy tells what number to enter to activate the mouse using the Home button for chromecast #3

Fire stick has its own Android OS with much different UI than Onn with Android 11. Fire stick also requires amazon account, some people would rather not add their account.

:grr:Very good knowledge here if I understand 50% of it, BUT What about using an email address from an app you can only get from GooglePlay Store?? I have a private address but google won't except it. Or is there another way to get an app from Google, like a work around? Thanks in advance.:thumbsup:

Other ways to get apps is with @ptoide, @ptoide TV, AFTV News Downloader and download apps from suites that has them in apk....the onn Stick I make up a Gm@il up, for a neighbor I used what he always eat, Nachos and Doritos, used that as name and last name, make up date of birth or used my friends real birthday and gender Rather Not Say....Gm@il will suggest a gm@il based on that name, choose one.......after that use the browser to download aftv news Downloader and once installed used the Downloader as a browser search the app you want as apk download and install, after install don't click open, click done, Downloader will ask you to delete the apk to save space, click delete twice, any questions during this steps, let us know, we will help.........what I'm looking for now is a usb to ethernet adapter with extra USB so I can use my keyboard Mouse remote and an external storage to increase capacity, the one I use on the fire tv stick is the same mini USB but on the onn stick it won't fit all the way in.........TP

Micro USB is the correct one for Fire TV stick.
The problem is, onn stick has the micro USB port deep in the plastic, let me see of I can show the onn's power cable is micro USB but larger.........

It depends on the Stick OS, if it is 6 you can run a script and ad the 64G as internal storage.....there is a video on YouTube about how to, need to download adb shell, search the YouTube the video is made by a lady

Yeah I see it's longer. Maybe use a hot solder iron and melt the plastic down away from the connection port?

It wasn’t clear from the Journal’s report if Comcast would license X1 to Walmart under that name or a different one. If an agreement is made, Walmart is likely to integrate the X1 platform into its Onn-branded television sets.

this thread is over a year old means ive had mine working that long
no problems at all im not one who likes media boxes mostly because they are wayyyyy over priced
but i dont have a problem with the onn media streaming boxes their open sourced has one hell of a remote
i bought yeah i bought one for my samsung just for the voice remote it bypasses the option in apps like ott navigator where you have to have premium for the voice search to work.

That is the thing, I didn't buy any of them, I also have the onn Stick and the onn 4k with lineage OS, here in PR the shelf of the onn Stick and onn 4k has being empty since February, it is sad if it's true, the onn equipment is dirt cheap the Stick was 14.88 and the 4k was 19.88
