Got my new 4900. Great box, I really like it. I was so pleased to see that in addition to the HDMI output it also has an AV jack. I have the HDMI connected to my main TV and wanted to distribute the AV to a couple of other TV's in the house.
I was disappointed when I connected the AV cable and had audio but no video. When I disconnected the HDMI then the video cable worked but the picture was monochromatic.
Anyone else try the AV output?

I have used the XRS4900 with only the A/V cable connected (that is without the HDMI cable connected, but only the composite and left/right audio cables connected) and get proper audio and video.
Just a thought, may have to do with what resolutions the box is setup for when you configured the audio video output.

What a bummer.... chalk up one negative aspect for the box.
Thanks for looking into it.

Would it be possible to use a HDMI TO AV Hub/Switch/converter of some kind for your TV's setup etc. ?
Something like this hxxps://www.amazon.ca/ViewHD-Multi-functional-Converter-Component-VHD-MS8X1/dp/B004K61QAS

If your tv has hdmi you could use a hdmi splitter

The other tv doesn't have HDMI but I'll give that a try... I have a splitter and somewhere I have an HDMI to AV converter. I have to dig in my junk box to find it. :tehe:
