I have enabled the toggle for one touch record, but it still brings up the menu for recording start and end time. Will one touch record be fixed to work like the previous models? That is start recording immediately and keep recording until I stop the recording? Or is there some other setting that needs to be enabled for it to work?

One touch recording works for me. The only way the recording start and end time pops up is of you hit the record button again, which asks you to change/edit or cancel recording.

Tried it again today and it now records fine. Not sure why it did not work last week, but just happy to have it working now.

No, not pressing the rec button twice is what was done right. Sometimes you press it once and you think nothing happens leading the user to press again. It's happened to because not everytime I notice the toasts at the bottom of the screen.

No, it brings up the option to change or cancel recording. If you click on change it allows to edit recording start and stop time. When the OP said he gets that menu on screen after hitting rec button, the only way that happens is of you hit the button after the rec has started. Not everyone would notice the rec logo in too right hand corner after hitting rec button.

DU, when you hit record button don't you see toast message at the bottom of the screen? Do you remember the "alarm" toasts users are getting after device startup? Also, my rooted mobile shows toast notifications. When watching LiveTV and streams buffers or not available, don't you see "stream not available"? That's a toast notification

I guess it all depends on which of the following menus satellite1 is referring to

Like I said and I will leave it there...... Maybe someone else will explain. But I will give it one more try...... The toast message notifies the user of a task being done. So, the notification is the toast and the toast is the notification, they're all the same. So when you hit rec button it will show a toast/notification of the task "recording" being done. Lol. Hope you understand

I guess you call it a toast because toast pops up when it's done...lol

That's exactly my point from the beginning. The toast message let's the user know the recording/task has started. So if you don't notice it and press record again then you get the popup about start and end time. I'm done lol

if you would have called it a popup from the beginning it would have been less confusing
even the browser you use calls it a popup not a toast

When I first tried a one touch recording, I was getting the message of recording start time and end time where I could change the times and set a timer. I was not getting the message asking if you wanted to cancel the recording. I now believe this was due to the toggle not being updated by the software, so in effect not seeing that the one touch toggle had been changed. For the past week or two, I have been having multiple power outages, causing the box to re-boot. I had my power button set to standby or sleep and not power off. Have since changed back to power on and off. I think that the box reboot solved the issue for me.

Thank you to all for the help.
