How about posting your findings and they can be reported and fixed
Some have already been fixed in beta

If connecting with mac was an issue you would see a ton of posts about it
I use two mac servers myself
I don't use m3u myself but others do

I have 2 servers connecting through MAC and one on XC API all connect fine
Make sure you have given your server the correct MAC As one person on here did have that as an issue

I don’t have any issues with it, other than the remote goes thru batteries pretty hard. Better have some AA’s on stand-by G. Don’t want to upset the Queen of the house, yes?

I use rechargeable and put them in April
I still have 47% remaining
and remote uses AAA not AA

I have never had a problem connecting to any servers and only use XC API. I love my buzz 4900 and really have no complaints. I use tivimate for the most part for iptv.

I'm not saying the unit is without bugs. There are a few, but they are not something that can't be overcome for now (and considering the speed of the device, I can easily overlook those flaws). List was created quite a while ago and most have been apparently addressed in beta. We are waiting for it :) I loved it so much after I got my first one that I ended up picking up a second one, not long after.

But in terms of connections, I have not had any issues with 2 MAC servers (only have 1 now, but tried another a few months ago), 1 XC api connection, and at least 2 basic M3U lists. The 2 M3U lists are some that I maintain, and connect to using a tinyurl shortcut link since I keep the lists on my google drive. Using them for some public international streams for some family and friends.

In terms of remote (BT200) batteries, it is NOT too bad. In the beginning I thought it was bad. Turned off the backlight on the remote and a set of batteries has now been going 5 months and counting. At least the shortcut to enable/disable backlight is simple, and I can even do it blindly in the dark (bottom right most button - BLUE - pressed for a few seconds toggles it), so the rare times I need the backlight, I turn it on and then turn it off when I'm done.

I found that the BT100 remote (from my xrs4500) was a little more power hungry. But then again, it has been a while since I've used it as a daily driver.

just got the XRS4900 last week for $180 US from Canada in 5 days. So far the only button I miss from the 3900 is the rocket button. I am less impressed with live tv loading time. Also having to switch channels back & forth when screen is black (refresh loads entire portal)

press home button twice (same as rocket)
loading time depends on server
try other video player if having channel issues

Tivimate premium works really good on the buzz4900. It is probably the best player out there.
