Ok, I am doing some research on what I'm going to need to know before my motor gets here. I am having some issues on my true south satellite.

Well, from my numbers dishpointer says 81.4084 and when I go to lyngsat the 81w Galaxy 9 does not have any info.

As far as the declination I will need to remember that my true south is 183?

I guess I am not sure what satellite to aim for when I get my motor since there is no TP to dail into.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Dude

Easiest way is just to point it in the direction of 82.Then setup up your your info in the reciever.Once done tell the reciever to go to 82.Go out and fine tune it to best S/Q.Then send it to another sat on the opposite side of 81 and do same thing. You should then be pretty much bang on for any sats.

Is 81w even up there anymore? When I go to lyngsat it shows 81w but no TPs on it. How will I get any s or q if there is nothing there?

Thanks

81 is an inclined sat.If anything is on it it will be data that you cant use.You dont need a signal on 81 to to point in the direction.Use 82 as a guide then nudge it a bit.Keep things snug but not tight and follow what I said above.

All is well and dandy for 82 but you need a circular lnb for nimiq at 82. If you don't have a circular lnb I would suggest everything andy told you but aim for the retro channels on 83w. They are tough tp to pull in, if you get them with good signal quality then you'll know your on the arc. Or try KTEL channel on 79w, a very strong tp.

Well I was going ask about the circular Sat I have the Invacom Invacom QPH-031 and a 4 port DISEqC switch.

I mean I know how to hook it up physically but, how do I set it up on the STB and how do I configure SATs for both C and L?

Thanks

Good lnb to have, both circular and linear. In your install menu configuration for 82 lnb frequency needs to be 11250 and 10750 for a linear sat. Just assign the proper port for diseqc switch and make sure your lnb is standard or single, depending on your stb.
