portal type not supported

Good morning;

after entering all login credentials, I started to receive this message recently:

" Cannot connect - Portal type not supported"

I am running a buzztv XRS4500 which has been updated to buzztv 5.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, were you able to resolve it and connect?

I am using username and password to try to connect.

I also wanted to mention that I can connect to the same server / portal with my T2 and T3 dreamlinks without issue, so the problem in my case is limired strictly to my buzztv XRS4500 box.

whats the name of your service?
You also say recently Was it working previously?

The name of the service is vanquish. Don't bother googling it as it will not show up in the search results.

My question is simply to the best of anyone's knowledge here, is there a flaw of some kind is buzztv software that would not allow it to connect to certain URL types when inputing username and password, when other boxes such as my two Dreamlinks can connect and play without issues?
