I need help, I'm pulling the last of my hair out trying to figure out this problem.
I got a used Bosch dishwasher from an auction sale. It's like new condition. I got it all installed and powered it up. When the water starts filling the tub a lot of water comes gushing out the water inlet vent on the left side of the machine rather than running into the tub. I can't understand why... all the hoses and openings are clean, no restrictions.
It's a simple component and I can't understand what the trouble is.
I'm attaching a diagram, it's part# 0435 where the water is pouring out.
Hope somebody can offer some insight.

Possible part #0437 the clip ring/clamp is weak letting water to escape, That is the first thing I always change
I don't like them and I change them all to actual clamps you can tighten, over time those things get weak & start to leak etc.

No, the part 435 has a square hole in it for a vent or air gap or something (about 1" x 1") that's where the water is pouring out.

Perhaps this is an anti-siphon device. I would try bypassing this device and connect hose 436 to hose 438 directly. As long as the float microswitch is working you should be fine.

Yes it is likely there for anti-siphon. Hose 438 though is just open to the air. The main body of 435 attaches to a large hole in the side of the tub which is where the water is supposed to enter.

I found a good video about replacing this component but I can't figure out why it is not working properly.

You might also try restricting the water flow by adjusting the shutoff valve. Perhaps the water pressure is high. Most fill valves have built-in restrictors and go bad or get removed. <br />

I'm on a well.. my water pressure is low only from 30 - 50 psi.

That's the right part but I don't know if replacing it will solve the problem. I can't see an issue with the one I have that would require replacement. I just can't figure out why so much water is overflowing and not all running into the tub.

Could that part have developed cracks or something, being there would be some pressure there, allowing the water to seep
through the cracks etc. Does it look like that is where the leaking water its coming from. ?

The water is not seeping.... it's gushing out the square hole in the top corner.
It's not an expensive part so I don't mind replacing it, I just can't see any obvious reason why the water is pouring out.

maybe the pump or a clogged filter?

No, this is happening just as the water is entering the tub as soon as the input solenoid lets the water in. The pump hasn't started yet.

Have a read here: hxxps://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/threads/shu43c05uc-46-bosch-dishwasher-water-inlet-leak-with-video.32166/ They are saying replace the defective water inlet Valve, the diaphragm is pooched & letting to much water to enter

Thanks a lot for doing the research. That sounds exactly what my problem is. I'll order a new valve and report back if it solves the problem.
You guys are great.

Got the new valve installed and all is good. Problem solved. When I removed the old valve I could see the little diaphragm inside was defective.
(Now I don't have to hand wash dishes)
Thanks again for the help.
