even tho its very big i do not think it would last very long with todays missels, it certainly would have to have upgrades for now days defenses

If you get a chance to visit one of the Iowa class battle ships, do so, you might change your mind on a missile taking one of them out, now a modern torpedo (non nuclear) would be a problem, they don't hit the side of the ship as the old WW2 type did but explode under the ship, creating a big void in the water, thus breaking the keel, and causing all sorts of damage, as the bottom of the ship is not armored.
They have 16 inch guns, and were armored to take 16 inch shell hits, to a point.

I haven't Toured a Battleship, But have toured & had a family Trip on the USS Nimitz, also the USS Lincoln
My Son has served on both those Carriers, (Not to Bad for a Canadian) lol lol

He was Safety Officer, on Flight Deck as well as arresting Gear (catch the Jets etc. Cable) Thanks Noof
I am also very Proud of him as well, Now stationed in Norfolk Virginia

Its got them middle ways up from bottom on both sides.
