I've been doing alot of scanning since I received my hd stb and noticed that this orbital position has many more channels then previously noted, including 4 in hd:
Tv Sul Bahia- 3800 V SR 2398
NTI- 4083 V SR 2893
IBB Hotbird
IBB Hotbird
IBB Hotbird Test- 4135 V SR 4100
RED ATB- 3803 V SR 2000
SOS
IIGD
RIT Noticias
RIT TV- 3795 V SR 7000 DVB-S2 8PSK
questions costactc. . .
do you type out the entire list which you post up when you scan?
when you do a rescan how do you know whats missing and whats new?

I keep notes of all scanned sats and I also have a channel list which I helped put together with another member at another site. Also, when your scanning a sat which you know has only one channel and then all of the sudden you see more. When I want to move to a specific sat I choose the sat on my pansat and then I tell my vbox to send the jack to that saved position. I rescan and then I can see if new channels have come in, there after the previously saved channels. I also compare what I've scanned in with lyngsat- no stb will perfectly scan in all tp, I just take precautions so I haven't missed any tp.

It has its bugs Paul, but overall I'm quite pleased with it. I've opened about 50 or more channels with it and I haven't scanned all sats yet.

I keep notes MX also for specific reason. once my Pansat has retained to much information it starts changing my install menu info by itself and reboots all the time. I factory default it at least once every 2 months. It started again this week and instead of fd, I erased all encrypted channels0- been ok since.

Is that due to a low memory issue or design?

I'm not sure but it always seems to happen, been a little screwy the last couple of days So I'm deleting all unnecesary channels and radio channels. Once I finish my arc thread elsewhere, I'm going to factry default and start new.

Well I guess I won't have to factory default after all. I was scanning the c band side of Galaxy 3c and my Pansat deleted all saved channels by itself. Weird thing is it still saved all my sat settings.
