around here gas went from 90¢/gallon to 19.9¢/litre

I started my apprenticeship in 1974 pumping gas at a Supertest gas station located in southern Ontario:gas was 44 cents per GALLON.

And I have no doubt they would subdivide the litre if they could just to make the sign look more appealing all over again.

my chevie p/u got maybe 11 mpg, o my god how am i going to pay for that .50 per gallon on base
