Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history and Canada's head of state, has died.
The Queen, 96, died on Thursday in her Scottish residence, Balmoral Castle, alongside several members of the Royal Family, including Charles who is next in line to ascend to the throne. The Royal Family made the announcement in a Twitter post Thursday.

I always liked the monarchy but I'm afraid it will not be the same with Charles as King. It has slowly been falling out of favour.

All my life we had the Queen's portrait in schools, on stamps, on coins, etc. I guess now the Commonwealth countries will have to change everything to King Charles III.

I met the queen mom at the Woodbine race track in Toronto at one of the Annual Queen Plates
she would have been not 10 yards away from where I was standing
I remember her as a 5 ft tall "smiling at everyone", "wrist twisting" little lady
fearless, cause she was walking around the grounds and stands mingling with the commoners
she did have a secret service detail, but they let her walk around as they stood far enough not to block her socializing

I don't know ,,, maybe she was whiskey soaked !! LOL

of course its a sad day when anyones life comes to an end but i
never had much respect for anyone who thought they were better than others
british royalty is very good at that.They are very strange ppl in my opinion
i knew that the marrying of cousins was for results in a better bloodine and had been done for years.
i find this to be arrogant,egotistical and strange.i remember back when nancy regan another
whom thought she was above everyone whom i wouldnt let polish my toilet snubbed liz wouldnt do the curtsy thing when she came to visit and liz hadnt been back since.
