I know for sure that an open end wrench is useless on the round base of a tie-rod end.lol.

Yes with a opened end wrench some tie rods can extend so how would you stop one side from turning?My guess a opened wrench.

They make adjustable tie rod ends with flat sides for wrenches.In the picture she could be checking play.

I twisted tie-rods for 46 years bro.

There is no hex,square or flat where that wrench is man.Look carefully.lol.There is a turning aid on that one, but she's 3 inches away from it.

Looks like to me if you follow rod coming from tire.
