Any thing Aluminum, that has fins cut into it or you can make it so, it would depend on what you intend to Apply it Too ?

Many unused or non-functional electronics have small heat sinks in them.Theres really only 2 hot spots in a T5:the processor on the DL100/200 & the mainboard cpu.TYhe DL modules are usually with heat sink anyways.I would focus on supplemental air flow rather than heatsinking. You can use usb type or older cpu type fans.I have internal 80mm thinline fans in ours. They are 12 volt, but I run them off of a 5 volt terminal.Very quiet & adequate air flow.

P.S...make sure the silicon block is between the hd module & the cover. They conduct a great deal of heat away from the module.

You can get a set of these for Cooling measures: hxxps://www.amazon.ca/AC-Infinity-MULTIFAN-Receiver-Playstation/dp/B00IJ2J2K0/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2BZ6411QLJEO4&keywords=AC+Infinity +MULTIFAN+80mm&qid=1649203669&s=electronics&sprefi x=ac+infinity+multifan+80mm%2Celectronics%2C130&sr =1-1

IF you have an older computer laying around you will find good heat sinks on the main processor, probably still has a fan attached

Doesn't your HD Module have a Aluminum Heatsink or silicone/Rubber one on it Already, if so then all you need
is supplemental Cooling (Fans) in place to Keep things COOL, like the set of USB Powered ones I gave you a link to
or a CPU Fan/Computer fan Like Gates07 mentioned.

i was thinkin the block that goes on the dl module - i know peeps use fans but i have never run fans on my other t5's and havent had (nock on wood) any probs yet , they were in open, well ventilated locations - but when Noof brought that up i began thinkin maybe I should be running fans cause t5's are so hard to find - you want to extend the lives of these units as much as you can -

You shouldn't be using/running any FTA Receiver without supplemental Cooling due to the Cheap
Components installed, and all the extra equipment that needs Power from the Box etc.
