Backlight (at least on the BT200 remote is a killer on batteries.
I stopped using the backlight and now, I forget the last time I changed the batteries.

The BT200 remote is my favorite of all however. "IF" I find myself on the rare occasion at night, that I NEED the backlight, it is very simple to do without any app. Just press and hold the bottom-most, right button (which is the blue colored button - and simple to locate in the dark) for 5 seconds to toggle it on/off.
