For the last couple of days both of my 4900's lock up when changing channels, I get "stream is not available". If I go into server settings and press reconnect then it works again until I try another channel.

Have you tried both players?
Since it's affected both boxes it's more likely to be server related
What service?

mac address or xcapi user/pass
i highly suggest if mac address and server offers user pass xcapi to switch to user pass

almost forgot
to update that version on the x5 you need an sd card
you will have to redo data
